"This is probably the most fun I've had doing a mix! It was very simply folk song into rap song over and over again. I think they both - a lot of the time - have a similar sentiment, but sonically sound quite different. This is what often goes on in my mind, the sound of that mix, figuring out which path they tread sonically. I thought it would be funny to do this because I hadn't really heard it before. It's quite nice to take a mix in the opposite direction of trying to make it sound as cohesive as possible and just make it really shocking."

The 70th SUNANDBASS Podcast comes from DJ, producer, and Spearhead label head BCee.

Having released over 100 tracks and remixes over 4 albums, and countless other releases since his debut in 2002, it’s fair to say that BCee has made a huge contribution to the Drum & Bass scene. 

Alongside this epic body of work, his label Spearhead continues to grow from strength to strength, having bought artists such as SPY, Technimatic, Hybrid Minds and LSB, amongst countless others to the fore. 

BCee brings something a bit special to this month’s SUNANDBASS Podcast, with a mix of only his music – whether his originals, remixes of his tracks or tracks that he has remixed. He had this to say about it: ‘I wanted to do something different so I’ve given you 90 minutes of tracks that I've produced / remixed / had remixed etc.  It's something that I've never done in 17 years of releasing music!’
