Throughout his long-running career, the American DJ and producer has released four albums and released on labels such as R&amp;S and Strictly Rhythm, the latter providing a home for 1995's acid smasher 'Higher State Of Consciousness'.

Nigerian-American artist, DJ, producer, and saxophonist @eli-fola steps into a new chapter with the release of his two-track 'Back To The Basics' EP via @heshethey Records.

Back To The Basics opens with its title track, co-produced with rising Berlin-based South African DJ and producer Theodor Luv. The collaboration was sparked by a serendipitous meeting at Berlin’s iconic Berghain, where Desiree was opening for Honey Dijon. The chance encounter grew into a creative partnership, taking them into the studio and bringing ‘Back To The Basics’ to life, setting the tone for the EP . For Theodor, this release is more than music, it’s a reflection of the values that define him: unity, expression and love on and off the dancefloor.

German House artist Oliver Dollar announces his ‘Contemporary’ LP on Rekids, arriving 21st November 2025. Since 2024, he has released four EPs on Radio Slave’s label, featuring collaborations with over a dozen artists and singer-songwriters, supported by the likes of Dam Swindle, Louie Vega, Honey Dijon, Hunee, Kai Alce, and more.

"Contemporary stands for what I'm playing right now, from deeper tunes to more jacking and booty bangers. I've been working on this album for the last four years and want to thank all of the collaborators and remixers (so far) involved in making this album happen. Also, big thanks to the Rekids team who gave me full creative control and the stage to bring my favourite artists and friends along for the ride.”

Since 2011, Industry Standard label boss Oliver Dollar has become a trusted name in House music, he was one of the leading proponents of its Fidget subgenre in Berlin at the height of its popularity, propelling him towards releases on labels such as Snatch!, Classic Music Company, and Defected, alongside a reputation as a formidable collaborator that’s worked with the likes of Crazy P, Mousse T, and Todd Edwards. For the ‘Contemporary’ LP, he doubles down on this spirit of partnership, bringing together a transatlantic cast of friends and peers, linking Berlin and Detroit through a shared House vision.

The album begins with ‘The New Is Here’, where Oliver Dollar teams up with Nils Ohrman for a soulful sermon that sets the tone with warmth and gravity, which was previously reimagined into a club-focused dub for ‘Contemporary Part Four’. From there, the mood shifts into ‘Downtown’ with Phil WZK, a deep, Jazz-inflected groove underpinned by a spoken monologue that feels both intimate and eternal.

Vocalists like APROPOS, Boog Brown, and Billy Love then bring soul and gospel fire, while producers including ADMN, Seven Davis Jr., Harvard Bass, Brillstein, and Austin Ato shape grooves that range from Disco-tinged uplift to deep, dubby hypnotism. Rather than a showcase of features, the album flows as one unified statement, a celebration of community, connection, and the timeless energy of House music.

Founded in 2006, Radio Slave’s Rekids has since launched the Techno-focused Rekids Special Projects in 2017 and its latest sublabel, REK’D, in 2024. With Matt Edwards as the sole A&R, Rekids has been instrumental in developing emerging artists and remains a trusted home for House and adjacent sounds, recently featuring names such as Hilit Kolet, Tal Fussman, Frankey & Sandrino, Mathias Kaden, Huxley, and many more.

Oliver Dollar’s ‘Contemporary’ LP on Rekids is a genuine team eﬀort, bringing together some of the brightest voices and producers for a masterpiece that seamlessly blends modern and classic House, Dub, and Disco.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their seminal 2005 album Staring Into Space, Glaswegian duo Silicone Soul present a Darkroom Dubs reissue featuring two pivotal remixes that helped define the album’s legacy. 

Leading the charge is Ewan Pearson’s electrifying remix of The Poisoner’s Diary - a masterclass in sonic transformation. Pearson channels raw new wave urgency into the original, fusing its proto-dark disco leanings with climactic synth flourishes and machine-gun claps. The result marked a creative breakthrough for Pearson and added a defining edge to Silicone Soul’s catalogue, foreshadowing the darker aesthetic that would come to shape European dancefloors.

The vocal version adds another layer of intensity with the haunting delivery of Stuart Gray (from Glasgow indie band Viva Stereo). His stark post-punk refrains narrate a chilling gothic tale of emotional unravelling, an allegory for love’s collapse.

Adding further weight to this anniversary package, Berlin’s Dirt Crew deliver a powerful rework of Inferno. Amplifying the original's deep dub foundations, they lay down an irresistible Italo-disco bassline while framing the timeless toast, 'What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul?’ This is a remix that balances spiritual gravitas with dancefloor intensity, a reminder of Dirt Crew’s signature touch during their own breakthrough years.

These remixes have been lovingly remastered by Conor Dalton (Glowcast Audio) from the original DATs, giving DJs, collectors, and new listeners a fresh chance to experience two standout reinterpretations from the Silicone Soul archive. Twenty years on, they remain as vital as ever.

Silver Bear Recordings proudly welcomes Kilig back to the label with his new single, ‘It’s Trying To Be Light, But It’s So Dark’ releasing 10th December. After first joining the roster with his breakthrough Blue Coat, Red Dress EP, the London-based producer returns to the imprint that helped set the tone for his early trajectory, bringing with him a deepened, more introspective evolution of the sound he debuted on Silver Bear.

Kilig has long been recognised for weaving industrial textures, minimal frameworks and ambient sonics into a distinctly modern interpretation of London’s electronic landscape. His work has earned support from Ben UFO, Call Super, Saoirse, Batu, Overmono, Midland and consistent radio play across BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, NTS, and a global network of specialist stations. His music continues to resonate widely on streaming platforms as well, with standout editorial placements across Apple Music, Spotify and Amazon Music.

The single drifts between delicate atmospheres and subtly shifting rhythms, echoing the palette that first introduced him to the label while pushing further into the trip-hop and ambient influences he’s recently embraced. Speaking on the new release, Kilig shares:

“Around this time of year my mornings are everything. It's the only daylight I properly get to enjoy. Days seem to eat themselves, and by 3pm, we're in darkness again. I get that winter is for clubs, but for me I'm hunting something to wind down to. 'Its Trying To Be Light, But It's So Dark' encapsulates that feeling. This time of year I’m drawn to more trip hop and ambient music; lots of super delicate vocals and organic sounds. Best served with a big hot chocolate and double dose of marshmellows xx”

The single stands as both a homecoming and an expansion, an artist returning to a label that helped define his early sound, now equipped with a matured, more spacious sonic identity shaped by years of creative exploration.
