Straight out of Sligo, Ireland, Brame & Hamo have expertly produced some of the most effortless house music of the last few years. Following acclaimed releases on labels such as Dirt Crew and Heist, the duo now take full control with their debut release on a fresh, personal imprint, simply titled ‘Brame & Hamo’. 
B&H001, ‘Trants’, is a versatile three-tracker that expertly captures the light and shade of the duo’s production pallette. Opening the EP, title-track ‘Trants’ (say it aloud to trace the inspiration), provides a hugely satisfying denouement. Awash in a retro-futurist haze, flavours of early bleep techno, dusty drums and yes, outright trance flavours provide the ingredients for a euphoria-inducing trip that culminates in a melodic call to arms-in-the-air. Things get much tougher throughout ‘Hurt You’, which begins with an immediate strike of chunky percussion, jacking Chi-town rhythms and an unapologetically menacing organ line. As the requisite vocal sample delivers emotive threat, the mood only gets darker still, delivering something akin to an outsider house rendition of a lost Dance Mania cut. Finally, providing a soft landing with an early-doors on-the-floor heater, ‘Clarence’ lives up to it’s ‘Smooth Mix’ subtitle, as a lounging piano line gently gives way to vibrant sax and a soothing female vocal sample, while still maintaining a precise and irresistible groove for the club. Expanding seamlessly on their reputation as DJs and producers with an instinctive understanding of the genre, B&H001 is as soulful, tough and deeply satisfying of a house record as anything in Brame & Hamo’s already impressive musical repertoire. PREMIERE: Cassettes For Kids - Dusty Soul [Unit Two Records]

A new piece incoming from Brooklyn based producer and record label head Jacques Renault. 'When you know you know' is the sort of meandering tune, the many layers of which can easily trick the listener into thinking they're listening to a mix. No, this is not the case, the morphing nature takes the listener on a journey, expect 90's piano lines, break beat-y breaks, choral undertones, and deep house-esque synth jabs. Quite an achievement in under five and a half minutes, guess that's why the title is 'if you know, you know.

Bobby Analog has become one of the most pivotal figures in Belfast’s thriving electronic music scene in recent years. A prolific DJ, producer, promoter and Body Fusion label founder, has gone from strength to strength since relocating to the Northern Irish capital at the age of 18, becoming known for his sets of radiant, percussive house music and slick productions.

There are few artists capable of mixing balearic and deep-house universes, tinged with a touch of jazz. Cosmonection is one of them, and it is not for nothing that Mixmag defined him for his 2nd EP as « one of the fast-rising producers of the moment ».

In just 2 years, he has established himself as one of the spearheads of this new hyperactive French scene by releasing no less than 4 EPs, including two on Pont Neuf, in England on the Jimpster’s label, Delusions of Grandeur, or even in Australia on Beats Of No Nation.

Cosmonection is back in 2020 with Talamanca, a new 4-track EP as festive as it is melancholic. « I decided to work with a lot more organic materials to add more warmth to my sound » he says. « Carnaval » opens this new maxi, with catchy percussions supported by a progressive Rhodes lead. The EP’s eponymous title, « Talamanca » emphases his unconditional love for balearic house sounds, as aerial as they are groovy. « Bailar Contigo » appears as a track designed for piano house atmosphere, modernized by the specific Parisian producer’s touch. It is finally in collaboration with Tour-Maubourg that this EP closes with « La Selva », a deep-house ballad carried by vaporous layers and guitar riffs.
