We are now in the middle of June and it’s time to celebrate big time, as Barcelona’s biggest week of the year has arrived again. Off Week is the most important electronic event during summer – with Sonar Festival as background – and elrow Music is ready to deliver its traditional Off Week compilation. However, this time ERM is happily joining forces with one of the biggest platforms of the industry: Kaluki. elrow & Kaluki present Off Week BCN V/A is a two-part instalment presented by the two most dynamic platforms in the tech-house scene right now. The first part of the compilation is ERM106th reference, compiled again by the label’s big man, De La Swing, and is an astonishing five-tracker of dancefloor bangers, with tunes by some of the most prolific artists of the genre. The second part will be released shortly, on Kaluki Music and promises to be just as big as this one. Opening this comp we have Hauswerks with their ‘Way Back When (Original Mix)’, a track that starts with a soft progression, a light vocal line that slowly becomes a true madness on its own, joined by some serious FX treatment, with a truly outstanding atmospheric vibe. Then, we have Ki Creighton’s ‘The Boogie Monster (Original Mix)’, a track that starts with a higher energy and continues with a kind of robotische and dark vocal line, along with some amazing synth treatment, giving the track life of its own, perfect for any moment on the dancefloor. After, we find ‘Amelia (Original Mix)’, by another great producer and DJ, Max Chapman. ‘Amelia’ has that perfect elrow’s vibe, strong and playful, with soft percussion, great FX and a steady vocal line. Continuing the line of the record, Italian duo Supernova tears us apart with ‘2 Get Her’, a groovier track with tight and strong technoid percussion, an epic vocal line that grows along

Being resident DJ at Hive Club in Zurich, Switzerland for several years, R.EK has established a
reputation as an artist who is able to capture the mood of the audience, and to incorporate it
into his live DJ set. During the last two years, R.EK was working on fine-tuning his live sets, and

Sagmen third release featured Greg Pidcock and Andre Salmon who combine to deliver ‘You Got It’ EP with four dark house cuts plus two digital only mixes. 

UK producer Greg Pidcock’s nomadic tendencies have fostered a strong connection with his music which has seen releases on esteemed labels like Hot Creations, Get Physical, Culprit, Saved, not to mention founding his Montreal-based imprint Flora. Meanwhile, Andre Salmon’s extensive knowledge of music production has earnt him releases on the likes of Repopulate Mars, Leftroom, Hottrax, Suara, before founding Sagmen alongside Aert Prog. 

‘You Got It’ delivers a heavyweight kick and sharp percussive rhythms that lay the foundation for haunting arpeggios and an intoxicating vocal hook before ‘Loco’ provides grooved drum patterns, a powerful bass melody and an array of intriguing synthesiser transitions, with epic vocals effects . “TFSS’ offers up warped vocal samples and mesmerising motifs on top of a pulsating low-end whilst “Esto Es Montanita’ hits hard with crunching drum sounds, enticing filter sweeps and hypnotic samples. Two digital only ‘Black Mixes’ conclude the package, with the first reinterpretation of ‘Loco’ setting an ominous tone until the alternative version of ‘TFSS’ follows with a rumbling bass, crisp percussion and dubbed out vocal licks.

We're just hitting February in elrow Music and, as one of our favorite months of the year - yeah, we love carnival - we have prepared a couple of very interesting releases for you, our dearest public, to get infused by that special vibe that comes along this time of the year.

The first one comes by the Italian DJ and producer K.A.M.A., who has tailored an EP with two original tracks and has summoned PAX and elrow's George Privatti to make two outstanding remixes. 'Cream EP' opens up with the track naming it, 'Cream (Original Mix)', a steady track with a dry and tight percussion, with an interesting vocal loop and techy progression, that breaks with some amazing FX for the dancefloor madness.

Then we have PAX's remix of the track - 'Cream (PAX Remix)' - which starts with quite the same vibe but turning the vocal line into a distant cry thanks to an amazing echo treatment, turning the attention into different breaking points with the FX as center of the sound trickery.

After, we find 'Swag (Original Mix)', in which K.A.M.A starts with the same strong percussion and adds up some wooden treatment, giving the track that perfect carnivalesque vibe so associated with elrow Music tracks, with a darkish structure and stronger vocals, that many will feel familiar with, adding points with a progression that builds up, making this a perfect transient track for calmer moments on the floor.

Finally, the EP closes with 'Swag (George Privatti Remix)', in which elrow's resident twists the original vibe of the track, focusing on a more danceable progression, taking away the wooden percussion while the tracks becomes darker thanks to its FX and vocal line, turning the track into a dancefloor killer.

All in all, a great ERM123rd installment, that keeps adding young blood and high rolling remixes to elrow Music's roster of talents! See you soon in the floor!

On 16th March 2018 Germany’s esteemed DJ/producer Frank Sonic teams up with long time studio partner L-EX to deliver their debut Atlanta EP for Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora’s illustrious Kittball Records. 

This essential two track EP follows Sonic’s previous outings on labels such as Beat Boutique, Sprout and Traum plus marks Kittball’s third EP release of the year so far, following offerings by Rob Kali and The Deepshakerz. 

The EP’s title track ‘Atlanta’ kicks things off, serving up a tight four-to-the-floor house groove, uplifting percussive and synthetic melodies, powerful bass frequencies and an abundance of intense snare rolls to great effect. The track is already proving to be a hit amongst tastemaker DJs around the world including the likes of Solomun - expect to hear this on a dancefloor near you within the spring / summer months.

Next up, the Düsseldorf-based artist provides a solo effort in the form of ‘Ozora’, which encompasses a solid house beat, mesmerising trance-esque melodic textures, lush pad sounds and distinctive horn blasts and to conclude the EP in style.   

Frank Sonic & L-EX Atlanta EP is available exclusively via Beatport on 16th March and everywhere else two weeks later.
