After years of thumpers and bumpers on labels such as Twirl, Love Child and Instant Replay, the erstwhile Go-Go dancer and Amsterdam club legend Lupe sashays in from the left and slam dunks us with unholy acid house thunderstorms. 'Only Sinners Survive'

His Pets debut is pounding late night tackle that sounds future-proof today but would have fit perfectly at any stage since the acid revolution. The title track is inspired, as is the whole EP, by magical TV drama consumed during lockdown; takes us straight across the leftfield with an electroclash style fusion of juggernaut acid and stark lyricism that reminds us that perfection is a delusion.

Deeper into the night we strut to strike deep mix gold on 'Den Of Iniquity' as a Lupe makes the drums sing in a slamming, Q&A style hook that will fit over any other track and wind the dancers up with its addictive and mischievous mutations. Finally we have 'Binge Dancer'. The biggest slammer of the EP, once again we're sent into a spin with broadsheet acid and the type of rattling, insistent percussion that ensures plenty of bingeing.

Handle with caution. Lupe might drive you loopy.

Radio Slave teams up with Nez for all-new versions of the club smash, ‘Wait a Minute’.

The first single from Radio Slave’s forthcoming 2023 LP, ‘Wait a Minute’ sees the UK legend pair with grammy nominated multi-hyphenate Nez for a hard-hitting, rap-infused house track that has become a staple of the handful of DJs that’s already causing track ID request mayhem across social media.

Initially meeting via Radio Slave’s incendiary remix of the FELIX DA HOUSECAT co-produced ‘Lift Off’ released via Three Six Zero/Sony in 2021, LA’s Nez and Berlin-based Radio Slave made plans to work together as soon as possible, and a new version of 2020’s ‘Wait A Minute’ is the result. Featuring remixes from Rekids’ own Mark Broom and coming complete with an instrumental version, Radio Slave feat. Nez ‘Wait A Minute’ is released through Rekids on 26th August 2022.

Radio Slave, aka Matt Edwards, is responsible for some of the most recognisable underground dance tracks of the past 20 years, including ‘Grindhouse’, ‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’, ‘Another Club’, and many other timeless cuts. His collaboration work with Joel Martin as Quiet Village and solo work as Rekid has received critical acclaim, and he remains one of the most in-demand and consistent remixers around. Since beginning the Radio Slave project back in 2001, Matt has always championed his love of Hip hop, officially remixing N.E.R.D in 2004, releasing music from Chicago’s Jack Hogan on Rekids, and curating the disco rap compilation ‘Harlem World (The Sound Of The Big Apple Rappin’)’ with Joel Martin and the late Mark B on their Heroes and Villains imprint.

Nez has worked with the likes of Chance The Rapper, A$AP Rocky, Tinashe, ScHoolboy Q, and many more before dropping the dancefloor focussed ‘Midnight Music’ EP in 2021. Growing up in Chicago, Nez absorbed the rich musical lineage of the Windy City, and now distils these into his own unique creations and collaborations.

Ian Pooley returns to Rekids with Studio A Pt.3 this September. 

The third and final entry in a three-part release series based on his studio, Ian Pooley’s ‘Studio A Pt. 3’ for Radio Slave’s imprint sees him drop yet another set of bumping, hardware-focussed tracks.

Leading the A-side, ‘PSS480’ combines swinging drums, modulated low end, and trippy bleeps for a party-starting house track. ‘SP12 Electric Mistress’ brings flanged-out drums and lush pads together for a wonky yet driving cut. On the flip, ‘Viola’ sees Pooley heading toward heavier territories with rumbling kicks and heaving synths forming a pumping techno track before the ‘303 Version’ of ‘SP12 Electric Mistress’ closes out the EP, introducing tweaked-out acid lines and freaky FX to the original version.

Active since the early 90s, the German DJ/producer has released on the likes of Force Inc, V2 Records, and his own Pooledmusic, remixing for the likes of Deee-Lite, Carl Cox and many more, as well as being one of the few to be remixed by Daft Punk.

It's been a while since we did something on our subdivision Petite. You know, this is where we like to re-release those forgotten pearls, with a new remix on the flip.
This time we chose Kinda Kickin' by DJ Boom, which is in fact a collaboration between Matthew Herbert and Charles Webster. The original vinyl goes for over 110eur on Discogs and is a longtime favourite of ours. We heard Move D play it at a festival this summer, but strangely enough not too many other people seem to know about this house gem.
On remix duties this time someone very close to the label (and our hearts) since the first collaboration in 2007 for ‘Acid Bells’. Efdemin recently delivered what is maybe his best album to date and also this remix for Kinda Kickin’ is absolutely superb. Enjoy.

New York collective "Sheik N Beik" follow up a slew of lauded 12”s from Japan’s Keita Sano, Legowelt & Xosar and their previous effort from Hermans with the richly emotive return of Voiski. With a back catalogue of considerable depth, one that’s touched the likes of L.I.E.S and Delsin, Dekmantel’s ‘UFO’ series, Voiski’s latest offering carries with it a trademark degree of bite whilst remaining balanced with the sort of moody melodicism that fans both old and new will relish.  
"5th Dolphin Transmission"kicks things off with a tense sequence tumbling through granular drums and a staggered, luminescent synth line. "Let Down Disco" here premiered then dims the lights slightly with soft, buoyant melodies and flickering high frequencies that round off a nicely varied release and another solid addition to the Sheik N Beik catalogue.

Fresh for 2018 the ever pioneering Octave One are bringing us some brand new music for the new year. Using their much loved Random Noise Generation alias the upcoming release entitled 'N2 The Enfinate , contains a new single as well as a remake of 'Rock my Soul' in the form of the 'Reborn Vocal Remix'. 

The first Random Noise Generation release was 'Falling in Dub' in 1991 and sounding just as fresh 27 years later, ‘N2 The Enfinate’ is due for release this April.

For this single a retro energy has been explored in the title track 'The EnFinate', running parallel to a more contemporary groove and rolling, marauding baseline. The second track on the package, 'Rock my Soul' (Reborn Vocal Remix) starts with a strong intent and a weighty bassline paving the way for precise and bright chord stabs.
