Ahead of their 15th anniversary, @100percentsilk have assembled Late Shift Silk, a collection of tracks from a group of mostly new, and some familiar, names to the label. The compilation is less a look in the rearview mirror than it is a map of the road ahead. 

Japanese producer @yamaan may be familiar to listeners for a 2020 cassette release on Tokyo’s Dotei Records, as well as lush, ambient leaning hip hop as part of CHIYORI × YAMAAN. Chicago legend DJ Skull makes his first solo appearance on D'Julz's Bass Culture imprint with his 'Powered Funk' EP packed loopy and infectious house cuts, including the fluttering and jazzy track 'Bopping'.

Since emerging in the early 1990s DJ Skull has been a fixture on the global club scene. In more recent years he's proven to be a steady supplier of dancefloor weapons and his latest offering delivers three useful ballads with chunky bass, crisp beats and hints of acid. This is DJ Skull still at his best!
