@loveintfestival has linked up with @test_pressing to launch a new label. The inaugural release comes from @fantastic-man, the Berlin-based Australian whose music has been played by everyone from Aphex Twin to Bicep to Gerd Janson and many more.

Love International make good times happen in far flung places, whilst Test Pressing make good times happen physically and in the digital sphere, a meeting of like minds and shared tastes, all bases covered here. Together this collaboration has been releasing compilation album from the likes of Gatto Fritto, Beautiful Swimmers and Shanti Celeste, and this new label project unites recording artists and designers in a meeting of music and art.

On the ‘Cloud Management’ release, Fantastic Man teams up with Alexander Papoli-Barawati, a German/Filipino/Iranian graphic designer and art director living in Berlin. The striking and playful graphic design is in tandem with the music, which runs from the beautiful piano–led Balearic sounds of ‘Cloud Manager’ to the floating breaks in ‘Lounge Wizard’, the warped chug tempo in ‘Psychic Monthly’ and the beautiful acid bubbles of release finale, ‘Time Apprentice’.

Rico Casazza was born in Milan, Italy, moved to London when he was 19 years old, and lived there for about 20 years, until he decided to move to Prague, Czech Republic. Rico is a prolific producer, DJ and live act, who has released around two dozen EPs, several albums and plenty of remixes since he started to produce electronic music in 2017.

Rico’s new EP with the title “Escandon” is coming out on Paul Fleetwood’s label Perimeter Junk. While staying connected to his electro and techno roots, Rico Casazza has chosen a more pop-oriented approach on his new release.

“Backstage Segment” is a bright-sounding track with complex rhythms created through smart interaction between synth sounds and drum rhythms.

The title track, “Escandon” is a bit more laid-back, with a nostalgic and melancholic sound. Through sampling the vocals of a female R & B singer, Rico creates a cool and chillout piece of electro pop.

“Seven days” is a lovely electro track with an almost Drexciya-esque vibe and tight drums, deep pads, arpeggiated synths and again very complex rhythms, which makes it a fun track to listen to in every detail.

“Word Fail Someone” has a nostalgic, soulful sound with a hammering bassline and drum section which give the track a strong drive, which creates an interesting contrast against the more relaxed melodic elements in the piece.

“Twozerofour” is an electro/techno track which showcases Rico Casazza’s talent for producing ambient soundscapes. The pads, arpeggiated synths and leads create a trippy and spacey sound together as if “Twozerofour” would be part of a sci-fi movie. It will take both home listeners and dancers on a mental and physical journey.

All in all, Rico Casazza presents an interesting and versatile EP which combines electro, techno, ambient, funk and pop sounds to a unique piece of art.

Stories would be told about him one day, that was for certain. As the sun began to set he looked out over his small village and considered his options, might he run away or stay and fight. The light was fading slowly and it felt symbolic of the way in which his own time was running out.

Never had he imagined he might be forced out like this, yet his truth was all that mattered now and the stories that he’d leave behind would go down to be those of mischief and meander. Perhaps it was always supposed to be this way, a Lahla boy running wild and free with no place to go.

Supreems is set to release a new album on the newly launched Sweet Sun. It features a number of emotive electronic cuts channeling elements of broken beat, breaks, UK bass and beyond. This track features vocals from Off the Meds affiliated vocalist Kamohelo.

A Side "Shimmerdown" has been a rare grip for a long time on the original CSM wax, due to its status as one of the finest Rhodes-soaked, late-into-the-function cuts ever made. There was an aging writer called Mortise Koshimitsu who lived in a small apartment. The apartment was beset with problems. It was damp, the wiring was frail and in the summer the leaking pipes added a must and swelling to the wood in the windows that effectively countered the joys of the heat. Koshimitsu’s life had been lived chiseling away at circumstance, and circumstances had not proved easy. There was however, one small reliable rush to be had, and it lay through a gloomy doorway, down some stairs and past a register.

One of the first visitors to Planet Euphorique, Melbourne-based producer Roza Terenzi makes her triumphant return with the first LP release on the label. A playful yet cohesive collection from post-electro and extra-terrestrial techno to dreamy prog-house and low slung zingers, bumping us into the new decade. Modern Bliss, the sound of Roza Terenzi fully realized.

Never shy to experiment with unconventional sounds or mingle influences, the album presents 9 offerings to suit every flavor of raver. Opener, "Jungle in the City," takes down-tempo to a new astral plane with blushing pads and tumbling pixels, perfectly poised for a spine-tingling after hours sunrise.The title track "Modern Bliss" featuring Barcelona based singer/producer Ivy Barkakati encapsulates the dancefloor euphoria we have come to expect from Terenzi; in essence the energy of this release, contemporary jubilation and contentment amongst a chaotic world. Flickering percussion prancing above deep rolling bottom end, allowing bubbling stabs and synth sequences to lift Barkakati's intoxicating vocals to dizzy heights. “Exactly where I need to be, my thoughts create reality” truer words…

Flipping it over to the B side things heat up, “Yo-Yo” chimes in immediately with a tough onslaught of metallic polyrhythms and a pulsating melodic bassline coaxing you down a path less travelled and preparing you for the sexy sub action that demands your attention, "That Track (Rewired Mix)", buckle up to sweat. Sweet relief comes with the C side “Exhale”, dipping in tempo; esoteric atmospheres to fill your ears, something fresh to absorb with each listen.  To close off the record, something old and something new, “Eternal Lust” a delicate ode to the lovers and from the vaults “My Reality Cheque Bounced (Feat. DJ Zozi)” - a raucous party starter serving up that label defining sound, futuristic and bombastic, tipping its hat to the break. 


With subconscious salutes to the astrological world of OG maven Fiorella Terenzi, “Modern Bliss” invites you into an encapsulating, electronically ethereal universe. A record to summarize the myriad of diverse and evolving sides to Roza Terenzi, the full length allowing her to capture a moment in time with possibilities to transcend dance music expectations.
