Our man in London is back on the label! Exactly 1 year after his first release on Dirt Crew and two very successful records on his own new imprint “Income Trax” and the New York based “Razor-N-Tape” label. Clive has been consistently growing his following this past year and refining his sound and production. So now we are truly excited to welcome him back, especially as this release will also be on a limited 12” vinyl.

The opener “Pearls” features the amazingly talented London based musician/ composer Jessica Roch on violin and vocals. It’s an uplifting electronica meets deep house track that shines with positivity and beautiful melodies based on an analogue synth foundation by Clive himself. Truly a new addition to Clive’s musical language.

The A2 track “4 Time” is a swinging groover featuring a lush deep beat topped with piano and strings stabs and consisting of great funk all over. Followed be the super fun “Rough and Tough” as first track on then B side. Clive really gives us his new summer anthem here as far as we are concerned. Dance floor happiness guaranteed and we can’t wait to hear this one in an open field and on a big sound system!

As a treat for all fans, we decided to give “Gravitate” the well-deserved vinyl spot as the closing track to this great new record. This jam got massive support over the last months and is Clive’s best performing track on the digital platforms. Here we remastered it especially for vinyl and it sounds doper than ever! Enjoy!

We are delighted to present to you yet another up and coming artist to the Dirt Crew family. Petals In Sound’s style is best described as a refreshing mix of deep electronics and atmospheric deep house.

This whole release represents a theme of change and a sense of being ‘reborn’. The 2020 pandemic changed everything for everyone and for Petals In Sound this included becoming a mother and embracing a new lifestyle. After more than a decade of living, working and partying in south east London, 2022 Petals In Sound made the move to the Merseyside coastal suburb of Crosby, Liverpool to create a new life for her family.

‘Citrus’ the opener of the EP delves into the changes brought by pregnancy. A powerful droning synth and heavy bass drive the track but always keeping it at a gentle pace and making it the perfect late night deep closing jam. The title track ‘See the Morning Light’ reflects letting go and embracing what new life brings. With the great piano opening it catches immediate attention and when that bass line picks you up this track evolves into a beautiful “summer” tune, uplifting and full of positivity. Her last new tune ‘Slack Jazz // Your Love’ is a lil dance floor anthem which brings synths-a-plenty and a driving bass hook creating lots of energy. Here as well the originality of Petals In Sound shines through the whole track and makes her style stand out.

Last but certainly not least we asked our new crew member KaySoul to rework “See the Morning Light”. He used the main piano loop, vocal snips and added his typical jackin’ beats, cut up style and soulful touch we love so much in his productions. We are pretty sure this track also has the perfect “cool” vibe for a hot steamy party in or outside. Enjoy!

Made between London, Granada, and Berlin over the course of four years, @aphty_khea's next EP, 'Salt & Copper', takes the shape of a warm, soulful five-tracker via @squareglass.

The record's title track, 'Salt & Copper', tells the story of an emotional sexual encounter by the sea whilst menstruating, and embodies radical self-love, accepting and finding a home in your own body even when society deems it as filthy, unwanted or taboo.

'From the coziest speakeasy bars to the tastiest late night sandwich counters, New York City is full of delightful secrets that reward those lucky enough to find them. One of Brooklyn’s best kept secrets is Kyle Louis (fka KLM), a talented yet unassuming veteran of the underground house scene who now makes his debut with the Run It Back EP.

The third Fortune Signal label release features Louis’s impeccable original productions, in which he explores a variety of emotions, rhythms, and times of the night. Classic synths, ethereal vocal chops, and subtle dubby effects provide an overall sense of cohesion throughout.The end product is a collection of fresh, contemporary compositions rooted in classic house music language, each track full of the potential to inspire transcendent dancefloor moments.

Run It Back is a culmination of Kyle Louis’s years spent both in the club and the studio. Louis spent nearly a decade DJing and throwing parties in NYC, sharing stages with the likes of Tom Noble, Jacques Renault, and Juan MacLean before taking a break to refocus his energy on production. His past disco edits, beloved by the DJs fortunate enough to get their hands on them, have given him an innate understanding of dance music fundamentals. These experiences have served as the foundation for Kyle Louis’s creative voice as he ushers in this exciting new chapter of his understated but vital musical journey.

“Piano Speed Trap” is the peak time banger of the EP, powered by a pumping house groove and held together by insistent piano chords and wordlessly yearning vocal samples; the EP’s first single is tastefully restrained yet fully equipped for proper dancefloor damage.

The subbiest tune of the bunch, “Run It Back” slots in perfectly during the early part of the night. It’s guided by a pulsating bass line and filtered synth stabs that underscore a mesmerizing, otherworldly lead.

“Further” is a laid-back groover. The track builds energy with crisp live drum samples interplaying with atmospheric textures, and the whimsical synth melody draws inspiration from blog house-era indie bands.

“Should I Go?” begins with classic garage house drums before switching to a broken beat and an echoing, hypnotic arpeggio. Louis then brings the track to its apex with an ecstatic four-to-the-floor groove accentuated by reverberant synth pads.

On remix duties is Will Buck, a producer, DJ, and label boss well-known in the NYC and Miami dance music communities, with releases on such labels as Shall Not Fade, Pleasant Systems, and Whiskey Disco. Buck flips “Should I Go?” into a down and dirty house banger that’s driven by a forceful breakbeat and punctuated with a sinister rhodes melody.

Every Man Has Your Voice

'We have a very special new artist for you from Berlin. Dutch native Pete Bandit relocated to Berlin some years ago where we first met in 2018 when he was part of the 'Times Are Ruff' collective. They contributed a track on Dirt Crew for our 'Deep Love 2018' compilation. Now recently going solo he developed his sound even more towards Detroit-ish house with dabs of techno and a bit of high tech jazz in there as well. This debut EP offers Loads of deep soulful grooves, spiritual “computer” music at it’s best!

The A-side 'Wild Feelings' is such a beautiful opener to this record, with it’s lush spread out intro it paves the way with that perfect mood for what is to come, a mix of soul, funk and electronics and overall well crafted deepness. The keys on this one were contributed by the mysterious 'Nelson of the East' topped with vocals by Pete himself. 'It’s Happening Again' continues the story with soulful deep house textures and this one especially reminds us a lot of those early 90s Chicago/ New York House gems, the track is building towards a great breakdown key change and with its atmospheric strings and pads it’s a truly uplifting “Good Times” tune.

On the flip we have 'Computer’s Creativity'. This track picks up the pace and is centered around a funky, almost slap like, bass line. Here again topped by a vocal add of Pete about 'Computer’s Creativity' and with it’s cool break this one will also be a sure floor filler, guaranteed! The closing track on this record is the driving 'Luv Your Body', great percussion guides us through a loose set arrangement and make this one a perfect late hours or early mornings tune in any mix, it could go on forever!'
