PREMIERE: Guy Contact - Into The Blue [Haŵs]

Dusk was falling as they'd entered the space, ready to embrace everything that came their way. The pulsing sounds had absorbed them from the moment they set foot inside; what came after felt like a whirlwind, their memories becoming lost in a haze of sweaty bodies and enchanting rhythms. Bright light greeted them when they left, feeling as though they'd been chewed up and spat back out - yet it was nothing they wouldn't relive over and over again.

Siamese Twins' co-founder Sunju Hargun has been making moves over the last couple of years, both solo, as part of Mogambo and with the releases on his Bangkok-based imprint. After gracing the label a few times with the more downtempo side of his creations, Sunju makes his way to Taiwan's 禁JIN for two tracks that are guaranteed to have you drifting up into the cosmos. Backed by two remixes from Barcelona's Marc Pinol and Taipei's own Initials B.B., Sunju's originals are an ode to the sounds of classic trance and acid, with both set to light up dancefloors across the world.

Bristol-based producer @remotif has lovingly curated a selection of tunes from some of his favourite producers for 'Stranger Together', a V/A compilation aimed at raising funds for the International Rescue Committee (IRC). 

IRC is currently assisting with emergency resettlement for Afghan refugees. Afghanistan is the single country most at risk of deteriorating humanitarian crises in 2022, and 100% of the profits from this release will provide uprooted families with tents, clean water, sanitation and other basic necessities.

This 11 track release taps into a diverse selection of dancefloor tracks from producers across the world, offering everything from uplifting melodic house to dark, psychedelic techno - and everything in between. Estonian duo Abdul Raeva kick things off for Physical Education in 2023. Marking the label’s first release of this year, Passion de la Passion is a four-track excursion into the outer realms of tech house, acid and everything in between.

The Caballero Thrust Programme initiates proceedings, doing exactly what it says on the tin. Much like a rocket launching, tribal drums open into a slinky synth pattern, before acid-flecked pulses take us deep into starry, spaced-out territories.

Karima’s Duff Duff is of a similar ilk, rolling with a telltale rhythm. Techy, synthy
and built for the late night hours, we journey through celestial bleeps at pace, opening the door for Ooga Booga Acid Time.

In six and a half minutes, the pair leave few prisoners in their wake, dishing up a racey tech-driven number that’s packed full of punchy percussive groove.

Finally, Hard Discount Primitivo brings us back down to Earth. Minimal-leaning, with an old school house touch, echoing vocals shimmer whilst whip-like kick-hat combos march on, forming a clear-cut slice of club-ready dancing material.

London-based imprint X-Kalay add to their healthy catalogue with an instalment from Holding Hands affiliate, Adam Pits. Marking his debut on the label, following a string of releases for Coastal Haze and Wex this year, he brings yet more styles to the table, adding proggy house influences and driving synths into the mix alongside signature breaks and techno. On the flip, illusive Magicwire artist Bliss Inc. puts his own spin on title track 'Piston Pump, twisting it into a euphoric peak time cut.
