@DJDIESOON is the apocalyptic alter-ego Daisuke Imamura, whose performances of masked malice have been a fixture in the Berlin underground for the past decade. His latest record, 'My Brothel The Wind', out on @drownedbylocals, takes inspiration from Sun Ra at his most grotesque, conjuring a distorted phantasmagoria.

With special features from artists including @rully-shabara, 'My Brothel The Wind' translates his obsession with noise stems from his upbringing in Tokyo, where he grew up hearing the deafening roar of trains every day. “The buildings were really tall, so the sounds reflected so much and it was so loud that you couldn’t even have a conversation on the phone," he explains.

One of the first to embrace it were LYO — the Parisian DJ duo playing gigs all around the globe, constantly sharing new music through their SoundCloud page. Always open to help, support, or offer advice, they quickly became a key part of the scene.

It’s no secret that when we started our podcast series, we were influenced by pages like LYO and Krossfingers. They’ve been a source of inspiration for years.
