As one of the most singular and promising talents on the circuit, Bambounou is still at the start of his journey and that says a lot considering what he's already accomplished. His In Session mix focuses on the deep, brooding side of what he does and it brings forward a sense of maturity and class, with tracks by Taapion Sound System, Phil Moffa and Yaleesa Hall lingering under your skin for hours after you've listened. At times menacing, at others beautiful, this mix is as complex as the artist who's recorded it.

Veronica Vasicka's ability to find, curate and promote outstanding music from the past, present and future is second-to-none and that's what makes her a perfect person to join our In Session ranks. 

Her mix is, as expected, a high-energy display of music designed to make you dance in disarray. We've waited a long time for this and we're thrilled to welcome a true definition of crate-digger into the fold.

Coming in at just over an hour, Mr Mitch's In Session mix is an introverted take on contemporary bass with a step back into the old school crooning’s of r‘n’b, with all the usual slickness and soul he's known for. Melodic vocals, emotionally-charged hooks and blissfully sweet spaces, it’s a selection made for the dancefloor and the headphone listener alike.

Exploding abruptly at points with bursts of otherworldly drums, dubstep and dark raucous noise before reverting back to his more signature sound, it's an immersive display of reserved energy and experience. Trust us, this is not one to be slept on.

For Shed's In Session debut, he's gone techno and he's meant it. It's a definitive rollercoaster of his sounds with broken beats, hardcore kick snare combos, quintessential ambience and a devilish sense of dread that drives everything forward.

One of the best In Sessions of the year and one we'll be playing for a long time to come.

Job Jobse's In Session mix is one of our favourite this year. 

It's a homage to early rave music and it's going to blow you away. We spoke with Job to find out his thoughts behind the mix and this is what he said.

"I wanted to make a mix with strictly early rave tracks. Ever since I got into dance music I’ve been obsessed with rave culture and the things that were going on in the early 90’s. Especially in the UK, The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany (and on this little island called Ibiza of course). Even though I was still in diapers when it was actually happening"

We've managed to secure a mix by Murdoc from Gorillaz, one of the most controversial and outspoken stars in the world. 

His arrogant, often confrontational attitude has made him an icon for perhaps the wrong reasons but he's collected together his influences and compiled them into one, hour long session.

To really ramp up the excitement for Glastonbury this year, we must first take a look back to last year and that thought alone has us shaking with anticipation.

There were some real stand-out sets at Block9 in 2016 but one of our favourite pairings was that of Brawther and Tristan Du Cunha, two regulars when it comes rolling out fierce, show-stopping house.

For their In Session debut, Session Victim have done exactly what we thought they would. They've given us a slice of how they play when they DJ and shown us the thought process that goes into producing their masterpieces. Sit back, relax and become victims of the best session of the year.

Recorded mixes are few and far between from Nick which is why we're delighted that the electronica mainstay has gifted us with his debut In Session. 

What follows is a delightful blend of sounds, styles and tempos with a tracklist that covers artists like D Tiffany, Bass Clef, Auntie Flo, Mosca and Scott Grooves. It's eclectic, it's meandering and it's classic Höppner. We defy you not to be smiling once you've listened to this all the way through.
