Japan’s @sakuratsuruta appears for the first time on Will Hofbauer’s @thirdplacerecords with a new EP, ‘What Are You Drinking?’, a dreamscape of soothing synths, rubbery basslines, and playful, unrelenting grooves.

"The question, "what are you drinking?" for me is a soft invitation - something I find myself asking when the bass is thumping, and I’m feeling a little social. @jass-29's contribution to The Mix is inspired by playing on the Sinai Sound System at Draaimolen and shows her spectrum-busting range with 30 tracks amassing within the hour. 

"There's lots of range, but... I feel like I still didn't get over playing on the Sinai Sound System at Draaimolen," she says. "I still have it in my system; I think I'm still kind of there. When I was recording the mix, I still feel the residual feeling, I'm still channeling that."

Hiss Is Bliss returns to Modern Hypnosis with a solo 12” featuring his masterful techniques in forging dub techno and house music across three tracks: "Buy My DVD," "813," and "Deep54." The mysterious French producer maintains a refreshing low profile, allowing the music to do the heavy lifting. They utilise analog synths, a Redson Echo EC 25, a Korg Signal Sd-400, and a DIY spring reverb crafted by the infamous ‘JB,’ while also running certain stems to tape to create immaculate sound scapes with low-end frequencies primed for sound systems. 

Built for the dance. Enjoy!

During a solitary week of pandemic confinement, while relying on an Eurorack as his main tool and accompanied only by his cat Bondades, @eroticacastro imagined a dialectical testimony of a time that seemed suspended.

Resultinng record 'Una semana' on @plasmodiacol presents a spectrum of emotional and creative states: while some days pulse with glitchy rhythms, others lean toward atmospheric contemplation, and still others carry the weight of frenetic desire.
