Coming in straight from Hamburg for his debut on Upon.You Records is the notorious Doctor Dru who has built up a massive reputation and following as a part of the hanseatic JEUDI Records camp throughout the past years in which he played a role both as a producer and resident DJ at the camps parties of the same name.With the title track "Corner Ball" we see Doctor Dru kicking some serious ass on the dancefloor, bringing on a techy intro sequence and a rapid build-up for all fans of ever busy midrange synth wildpitch efforts whilst on point filter excess, metallic percussion bits and clean, yet screaming sci-fi tones provide extra fuel for full-on devastation. "Dondo", the second tune on this single, focuses on a still techy, yet more hypnotic vibe for the wee hours, introducing ultimate darkness in terms of massive bass waves and eerie atmospheres accompanied by layers upon layers of cut up vocal bits and a subtle overall presence of ghostly, mysterious, multi-dimensional entities feeding of the energies provided by a heaving dancefloor.

Norwegian duo Ost & Kjex make a welcomed return to Crosstown Rebels with a heady club cover of Prince’s Dirty Mind. Ninja Tune’s Seven Davis Jr. and German producer Basti Grub step up to remix with stellar results. 
 
After label boss Damian Lazarus asked why they hadn’t sent any new music lately, talented pair Ost & Kjex made it their mission to make a new release for Crosstown after 8 years. Delivering the goods, Dirty Mind is a minimalistic bomb with pulsating beats and soaring synths that lead you deep into the night.
 
“Our version of ‘Dirty Mind’ features our friend Mr. Mung from Mungolian Jet Set on vocals and we couldn’t be happier with our return release. The second track ‘Moviebox’ started of by using sounds from old 80s VHS machines, a sound design affair which turned out to be more melodic and trippy.” - Ost & Kjex
 
Ost & Kjex are responsible for the huge Crosstown releases How Not To Be A Biscuit and anthem Summertime with Jamie Jones. The duo have been releasing music for over a decade with two albums under their belt and notable releases on Solomun’s Diynamic amongst others. 
 
Best known for his releases on Ninja Tune, Seven Davis Jr. is a trained gospel vocalist, raised on the classic vocal sounds of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Prince. A fitting remixer for this cover, he delivers a sleazy cut with an intoxicating bassline. Recognised for releases on the likes of Cocoon and Desolat, Basti Grub also makes his first appearance on Crosstown. For his remix he serves up an intricate slice techno for the big room with hypnotic layers.

Introducing a new name to Manual Music, and keeping the long tradition of giving (Dutch) talent a platform to showcase their exceptional music to the world, we proudly present the debut release of Krohl.

Krohl doesn't appear completely out of nowhere. In fact the Tilburg based producer has been part of the more mainstream orientated duo Matt & Kendo who released their music on labels such as Toolroom, Spinnin Deep, Lemon-aid and Flamingo amongst others. He even worked together on projects with big commercial names such as Joeysuki, Lucas & Steve and Funkerman to name a few.

But the heart wants what the heart wants. Krohl always had a deeply rooted love for the underground scene and it's genres. A love that ultimately lead to this three track release on Manual Music, featuring the songs Manisa, Grund and Melamun.

His productions are deep, mature and warm. Rich of melodies and tiny little details that make each song come alive and sparkle. We can only hope that Krohl follows his passion for deep and underground music more often, because the results speak for themselves..

Marc Martinez aka AFFKT proves again that he is not afraid of going against the rules with his open minded "Cold Sweat EP" for Sincopat. New EP release will be out on December 13th and what we have here is the worldwide premiere of the track "Llobarro", the secret weapon of the EP with a bunch of 'out of space' synths. 

"Cold Sweat EP" brings three powerful original tracks plus an exquisite remix by the Mexican amazing talent Theus Mago. Fireworks light up with "Samorra", a strong electronic piece with hypnotic bass and outstanding filters, be sure that the test in the club will reach madness. On remix duties we got the eclectic and innovative Theus Mago delivering a really huge re-interpretation of the track, adding even more organic flavoured notes to the picture. "Beetlejuice" is the dessert of these timeless menu, and it offers some surprising sounds and noises in an incredible breakdown.

There are few, if any, artists currently working in electronic music to match BLANCAh’s talent and versatility. Whether it’s DJing, singing live (often during her own sets) or producing, her creative cup constantly overflows, which is why she has become one of South America’s breakout stars with a CV that includes some of the world’s most renowned platforms. From releases on Steyoyoke, Movement, and Lost On You; touring the globe or holding residencies at two of the world’s most famous clubs (Brazil’s Warung and D-Edge), BLANCAh is proof-positive cream always rises.

Now, following two acclaimed releases with Renaissance, ‘Cold Lights’ and ‘Walk In Clouds’, BLANCAh presents her second studio album ‘Arias Of Sky’.

Dance isn’t a genre that’s embraced the album format as a rule, but with ‘Arias Of Sky’ BLANCAh has undoubtedly delivered a body of music that doesn’t so much challenge the status quo as rip-up the rule book. It’s a showcase that deftly balances melodic electronica with her club roots as she explains, “Arias is a true labour of love that took months to produce. I consciously shifted my sound to create an emotive soundscape that people will hopefully listen and dance to in equal measure.”

Opening with her spoken word on ‘Afago’, the album progresses from downbeat beauty to haunting club anthems, taking in a myriad of influences along the way; if Kate Bush’s ‘A Sky Of Honey’ went to a Brazilian nightclub this would arguably be the resulting love child.

Finally, it’s only fitting such a creative album offer DJs and listeners creative options as to how they want to listen to it, something BLANCAh was keen to provide. “Although I completed the album the job was far from done”, she explains, “I decided to offer it in 3 different formats, the original versions, extended mixes and a continuous mix as if it were a DJ set in its own right. With the latter I even created three exclusive ‘INTERLUDES’ to help with the transitions and flow. It’s a very personal journey that represents my strange and wonderful take on the world. I hope people enjoy it.”

Born into this world with a love for all things creative, it was only a matter of time before we saw this artist spread her wings and shine on an international level.

In 2014, BLANCAh embarked on her biggest year and joined forces with Steyoyoke. Since becoming a member of the Berlin based record label, BLANCAh has built a solid path in music production by delivering a continuum of highly acclaimed releases. She defines her musical identity through melodic compositions, often featuring her signature dark quirky soundscapes. Her music is clearly a reflection of her love for all things strange and wonderful. Both remixing as well as composing her own songs, her work always depicts her sensitivity and versatility, which combines to create a unique essence and form of self-expression. It comes as no surprise that in 2016 BLANCAh was awarded at the “Rio Music Conference”, winning the highly esteemed, “Revelation Of The Year” award.
