📼: getting in touch with my house 🏠 

⏮️ rewinding exactly 19 years ago, the love for electronic music was brewing, he was listening to lots of trance, early house records from cds 💿, some state of trance, and bunch of ministry of sound cds, some given to him by friends, others bought online or at music stores while traveling in the summers...

…but not until something happened with house 🏠, it was a turning point to his house music discovery journey…

Welcome to the 1 Year edition of SOLmundo (:

The mix is predominantly downtempo starting with as low as 55bpm with slow progression to faster beats. It includes a selection of my personal all-time favorite Electronic Music from the Downtempo & Deep House genre from the past one to two decades.

The journey begins with a solo piece by a classical instrument widely used in the downtempo genre nowadays called Oud, the instrument is widely used in Classical Music of the Middle East & North African region. The piece featured “Me and My Oud” is produced by Abadi Aljohr, an artist, an Oud virtuoso from the 70’s of the Hejaz region in Saudi Arabia; a legend that earned the nickname “The King of Oud” for his impressive natural skills on this beautiful notable instrument. Follows the sound of Sheep bells sampled from our beautiful nature turning into a track that uses the seven notes of the musical scale in Indian classical music (Sa, Ri Re Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, and Ni) known as Sargam in the Sanskrit language of India. Performed by beautiful singer M. D. Pallavi from Karnataka, India.

The mix concludes with 2 of my all-time favorite artists and highly respected label Diynamic; a remix by Gui Borratto produced by David August & Stimming. Finally, it soothes to close by genius composer Nicolas Jaar from his classy label; Other People.

Thanks to Wildwood, I had the honor to play at The Play Pen - Babylon Festival. A beautiful space, also created by Wildwood, certainly a pleasure to be part of it and getting to share my music with like-minded individuals and good friends!

Going back to the roots, the love for House music and beyond. Starting with House enjoyed from the early days, melodic & groovy, and gradually building up to the love of Techno. 

The set concludes with 2 artists, styles, and genre that I've got plenty of respect to. An an all-time-favorite artist & music genius; Stimming. Finally, a producer who revolutionized Hip-Hop in the 90's, the Mozart of Hip-Hop; J Dilla. Cannot pay enough respect to these 2 legends!
