« For this mix, I wanted to showcase some tracks that currently inspire me, both older and more recent, in an attempt to encapsulate contemporary club sounds from diverse locations, featuring a mutant and transgressive tone. It ranges from raw banging metals and acidic synth lines to soulful melodies and broken dembows, embodying a DIY futuristic aesthetic while paying homage to various moments in rave music history, all with a sharp focus on the dancefloor. In under 1 hour, I aim to take you on a journey from apocalyptic to utopian vibes, reminiscent of some of my favourite clubbing memories. »

Viegas is one of the names to have in mind if you want to get to the pulse of the Lisbon electronic underground. Closely involved with the queer clubbing scene both as a promoter and Dj since 2016. In 2020, he founded ARVI, a collective that aims at perturbing genre expectations in a rave, mixing forward-thinking club, urban and pop music with harder electronics, live performances and multimedia art. His sets reflect the spirit of the collective he founded and are inspired by the history and peripheries of dance music. Fan of melancholic synths, fast-paced ghettotech tracks, trance- inducing patterns, acidic bass lines, and also groovy and sexy beats, watching him mix is always an unpredictable ride, one to be experienced in the moment.
