YXXN is a DJ and oriental painter, whose sets are mainly influenced by hip-hop, R&B, and house. She has been performing in Itaewon since 2020 and is one of the most exciting upcoming artists in the underground scene of Seoul.

Here’s the latest instalment of our Sticky Mix series, where we invite friends of HONEYPOT to get on the decks and record some extra sweet tunes 🐝🍯

Next Honeybee on the decks is talented Gadget and the Cloud, who is after treating us to a concept mix!

@gadgetandthecloud is Kelly Doherty, a producer and DJ from Cork and based in London. She has previously performed at Electric Picnic, Open Ear and Body & Soul and supported acts including Gus Dapperton, Neggy Gemmy, Saint Sister and Dan Deacon. She also runs a monthly show on Threads Radio and is co-founder of queer Irish London-based club night Satellite Towns. Her DJ sets veer between breakbeats and experimentalism, hip-hop and pop.

This is how she described her mix to us - "this week is the 20th anniversary of the first electronic album I ever fell in love with – The Postal Service's Give Up. For this mix, I tried to imagine a late-night soundtrack for the protagonist of my favourite track off the album, "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight". It's a moody and squelchy and lonesome mix but leaves space to dance, just like the song that inspired it. Featuring cuts from Aphex Twin, Otik, Khotin, Drexciya, Two Shell and, of course, The Postal Service"
