I'd like to thank everyone that helped make the Dawn Patrol Project a reality. If you've ever been to Burning Man on burn night you know how magical of a setting it can be. Being invited to play on burn night for the art cars maiden voyage will truly be a night I remember for the rest of my life. This mix is of selections from that night. I hope it finds you well in all of your pre-burn preparations. See you all soon!

P.S. Fuppy if your reading this then youll probably notice a couple of the songs at the beginning of the mix were the ones you played on repeat my first burn. Those tracks will always remind be of my first time home. I know you'll make it back out one day.

Small Pipes is a dark and cinematic single from Canadian producer @johnny-posh. The scene, a haunting ritual taking place in the clearing of a jungle far from civilization. The pounding pulse of drums break the silence of the night, and only glimpses of figures appear by the flicker of firelight. 

Two very different but equally impressive remixes round out the release. A laid back guitar groover full of @haunted_water unique beats and soundscape. And finally, @nathanhallmusic drives the energy to the dance floor with a dark and melodic journey full of twists and turns.

We have noticed one thing over the years of playing shows, meeting artists, exchanging music and having conversations with people all over the world. That we are surrounded by a community of musicians, producers and music lovers which acts as an inspiring, uniting force. For that reason this fourth Shika Shika compilation is called Union or Unión: "the action of joining together or the fact of being joined together".

These are 13 tracks of music without borders, music that unites, music that brings together different styles, rhythms, influences, languages and cultures to create something richer, something fresh, something different. That is how music evolves and has always evolved, uniting sounds and creating something new. 

We are really happy to present lots of artists who are new to the Shika Shika collective alongside some old friends. Hard to categorise so we let the tracks speak for themselves.

We hope you enjoy our homage to unity, thank you for the support and thank you to all the talented artists for sharing their music with us!

In December 2018 our journey brought us up the mountains around Minca in Colombia. The folks from Aloha Ke Akua Retreat asked us to do a three day long sound healing workshop in which everybody was invited to play in our eigenklang installation. 

Accompanied by the birds and our friends Biomigrant, Elli and Dani we created magic soundscapes - inspired by the jungles around us. For this Voodoocast we took the sweetest spots out of the 9 hours of recorded sessions in the Maloca, mixed it with some field recordings and did some editing here and there.
