Decay is a Canadian Hip Hop artist from St. John's, Newfoundland known for his lively approach and powerful cadence. This versatile east coast lyricist/producer has been active in the Hip Hop community since early 2016, captivating stages and producing hard hitting records. 

In 2016 Decay released a project with comedian Mike Lynch titled “Parent’s House” which combined satirical rap with powerful punch lines that made an impression on the local rap scene.

In 2017 Decay started his own record label under the name “Lethal Layers”. 

Decay has produced and/or engineered for multiple musicians in St.John’s including Janet Cull, JYAY, Vicki Doyle, Nasty, Staze, Cheff, & N8 Douce.

In 2018 Decay entered the “So You Think You Can Rap?” Competition hosted by Where’s It’s At Entertainment and was reigned the city’s champion in St.John’s. Following that victory Decay locked in an Atlantic Canadian Tour with the legendary west coast lyricist/singer Evil Ebenezer in 2019. Decay ended up making an impact and went on another Canadian tour with Evil in 2022 and became one of his main producers, constructing a part of his album “The Garden of Evil” as well as multiple singles that followed.

In 2021 Decay produced tracks with major label/independent artists Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton, Slaine (rapper and main cast actor in “The Town” directed by Ben Affleck), Futuristic, Evil Ebenezer and Ren Thomas. Working with these artists have cultivated over 500,000 steams on Spotify alone. 

Nominated for 3 awards with MusicNL between 2022/23 and being a showcase performer at the 2023 ECMA’s Decay has built a name within the Canadian East Coast performance community. 

In 2023 Decay landed a deal with True Rhythm Entertainment where he provided all of the visual graphics for their 2023 “Back Alley Event’s Tent” festival which included the following acts: Illenium, Our Lady Peace, Nav, Headstones, Sean Paul, Bush, Furruko, Yung Gravy w/ BBNO$, Tom Cochrane, Londynn B & Ludacris. Decay then concluded his contribution to the festival by performing an opening slot for Ludacris with fellow Newfoundland artist & collaborator JYAY.
