I had this idea in the head and tried to reproduce it with only the hardware synths I have at hand (I'm learning to use them). I also intended to add an electric guitar solo over this and some drums, but thought it would be best to do that only if I decide to develop the idea into a complete track.

JAMNUARY 2025 Day 2 participation.

This is more an experimentation on a particular orchestration... the harmonies are completely chaotic but I like the instruments chosen. I think something unusual could be developed from that.

Participation 3 to JAMNUARY 2025

For this one I had less time so I wanted to try with a freshly invented thumping pattern (inspired by Animals As Leaders thumping techniques) but that made me not go far in the production: It's a few synth chords accompanying the recorded riff I manage to capture after an hour of trying to play it properly T_T (it's not warped, and I can play it faster but not always correctly cause I only learned it an hour ago 🥲)

But it's a cool idea so it's developable I guess. Now, while listening, please imagine super crazy cool drums 🤡

Participation 4 to JAMNUARY 2025

This time I challenged myself to try to make a "funk" kind of jam. I never wrote anything in "funk" so that's a first. Thanks to Superior Drummer for helping with the drums 🙏🏼🥲 I wouldnt be able to do that otherwise. I played myself all the other instruments, which is why it's a bit rough, feels almost like a live session XD Also obviously it's not mixed other than volume levels, otherwise there is potential for a good mix bring specific instruments forward and backward at different times... right now I let the "natural" mix shine (or glow... or almost luminesce... or... 🤡 )

I didnt have much time so I simply developped an idea based on a few physical modeling synths presets I kept around and never used until now. Yep that's all synthetic 🤯
I'm also making a game I was interested to use these instruments for, looks like it will work well!

I took a pause for day 6 because I lacked sleep so this is day 7 and I still lack sleep T_T so I did a little experimentation using a drum set from the hyper-pop pack for Live, then experimented with the chance probability of notes of some of the drum notes, so it's a bit chaotic but interesting.

Participation 7 (day 8) to JAMNUARY 2025

I needed to do at least one idea with a classic acoustic guitar, which is now done. Both guitar tracks are the same acoustic guitar, treated a bit differently. I started with arpeggio as I'm learning to do these with my guitar teacher, so it's good exercise. I wanted to add some strings/synth in the background but dont have much more energy for today, so maybe if  I try to develop it one day.

Participation 8 to JAMNUARY 2025

I intended to add drums and some synths but really dont have much time so I just recorded directly (not even with a DI) the idea of thumping, and then added a beginning that is not thumping. It's all a bit chaotic but my sound is too high-gain I think. Anyway, you get the idea and probably can see how it can be developed XD

Note: for some reason it clips on SoundCloud but the original file doesnt T_T
EDIT: I think I fixed the clipping issues now

I made this track for a game at a game jam about ecology. The game was about a big turtle swimming underwater, looking for food to grow a garden on it's back.
I tried to make it so that it feels appropriate and majestic.

It's designed as a loop.
