Story? I'm Matt O'Callaghan, an Irish acoustic guitarist. I began playing guitar at 17 after 10 years of classical tuition in piano. After messing around with my favourite rock and metal tunes for a while, I was introduced to the style of Andy McKee and his tune "Drifting." Like some many people, I sat watching the video on repeat. When I finally took my jaw off the ground I thought to myself...."I wanna do that!" After learning Drifting as a bit of a party tune (which I reeeeeeally couldn't play well), I gravitated more and more to the acoustic guitar. A couple months into my first year of college, I made a like-minded and extremely talented musician and guitar player friend named Kieran Dowling, who introduced to a whole world of solo acoustic players and that's more or less what I've been doing since!
