'Westmount Road' Soundtrack - End Credits

This is the first of 3 short movements I composed for an independent film in 2012. This music is used to accompany the opening titles of the film, and the first scene.
The piece is scored for clarinet, trumpet, horn, tenor and bass trombones, tuba, electric bass, triangle and kit, and features some fine funk tuba playing by Michael Dawson. 

The beginning section of the piece was composed especially for the project, and the second section comes from a piece I originally composed for trombone octet, which was then reworked into a brass ensemble piece entitled 'Neo' (as in the Greek for New, rather than after the Matrix character), and it was used for the launch of the new Yamaha 'Neo' brass instrument range. 

I recorded this final version in November 2012 at the RNCM, with colleagues from the RNCM, for use in the 3minute short 'Westmount Road', directed by BW Seale, written and produced by Lenart Černilogar.

'Westmount Road' Soundtrack - Opening Titles & Scene

This is the second of 3 short movements I composed for an independent film earlier this year. This music is the longest of the 3 tracks, used to accompany main action scene in the film, involving some sneaky house-breaking and featuring some excellent pop triangle playing by Pete Mitchell and amazing trumpet playing by Craig Kilgour. This movement runs segue into the End Credits music.

Scored for Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Trumpet, Horn, Tenor & Bass Trombones, Tuba, Bass Guitar, Triangle & Kit, I recorded this final version in November 2012 at the RNCM, with colleagues from the RNCM.
