Les Cheveux Dans Le Vent

This track were made with the sounds of the Casio MT-65 only. The MT-65, released in 1983, is small keyboard with 49 mid-sized keys, 8 note polyphony, 12 styles, 20 tones, vibrato, sustain/reverb and modulation FX. It uses the NEC D930/931 ICs which were used for many Casio keyboards between 1983 and 1986. The D930 accompaniment chip is famous for it's for bass, chord and arpeggio variations, allowing a total number of 768 style variations. The MT-65 was re-released in a different colour as the MT-68 in 1984. There's also a larger version existing, the CT-405.
I've used the original and sampled versions of the sounds, together with delay, reverb and chorus.

The Player And The Listener (Casio MT-65)

This track was made with the sounds of the Alesis Harmony 32 only. I added a bit reverb and delay and compression on the drums.
The Alesis Harmony 32 is a small Keyboard with 32 mid size keys, 300 sample based tones, 300 rhythms, 40 demo songs, a recorder, 5 drum pads, a metronome and a USB MIDI interface. It was announced in late 2020 and has been on the market since early 2021. It's the first Alesis home keyboard with small keys.

This tracks was made with the sounds of the Casio MT-400V only. It is a small keyboard with 49 mid-sized keys, 8 note polyphony, 12 styles, 20 tones, vibrato, sustain/reverb and stereo chorus. The main feature is an analog filter control. It was released in 1984, also in a larger version as the CT-410V.
I've only used the original sounds, rhythms and onboard effects .

Casio MT-400V

The Final Filter (Casio MT-400V)

This is a Watoo Watoo cover meant for a tribute album. We've been fans of the Bordeux band since their 1999 EP Picture Of A Lost Friend out of Radio Khartoum. Michaël reached out a few years ago and asked if we'd like to participate in the tribute record and of course we said "Oui!". The concept was for each cover to use one or two original stems. We used the drum stems from "Je Tourne En Rond", had the lyrics translated into English and voila!

This is a demo of the vintage FX unit from Viscount ER-256. This is a digital unit from the 80's, quite rare and which was intended to be used with organs. There is a mono input and stereo outputs. We have an input level control, an output level control, dry/wet mix control, a selector for the FX and a selector for variation around each FX.

In this demo, I'm running a "rock" beat from a Casio MT-25 through the unit with a 50% setting on the mix potentiometer.

I'm going through each FX with its 16 variations during all the demo.

Please note that there are sometimes some spitting in sound, this is due to the potentiometers, I fix this problem after the recording (not logical, I agree) and there is not spitting now...

Gate, Reverse, Chamber and plate are particularly interesting as reverbs and multi tap is a very cool delay since it has different "patterns" of delaying in each of its 16 variations.
