DUALITY: An album in two parts.

Since day one, I have always struggled with how to present myself. Am I a dance music producer who does downtempo / experimental albums? Or is it the other way around? My first album had a bit of both, which is why I have referred to ‘Duality’ as the true followup to ‘It’s Artificial’. Part One focuses on the downtempo side of things with hints of indie-pop, while Part Two explores my progressive and trance roots. This is by far my most raw and honest work. On June 1, we released two songs from each part: “Equal” with Asbjørn (Official), and “Midnight” with Alison May.

I did not do this album alone. These are more than just “features,” these are collaborations. Together, we have woven a massive journey that is deeply personal, and showcases our most vulnerable selves. Many of these fabulous collaborators are also LGBT+, and I am so proud to be a part of this wonderful musical family.

‘Duality Part One’ is out now, and ‘Duality Part Two’ will follow on October 28th.

It’s Agoria’s first solo release in more than a year and each of the directories (sound tools) have been featured at the Philippe Parreno exhibition at Turbine Hall / Tate Modern during the past 6 months. Part of the exhibition's sound design has been created by Nicolas Becker who included the directories, him and Agoria are friends and have collaborated in 2015 on his Independence EP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2aQEqXzxvQ - Nicolas Becker who was one of the many collaborators for the sound design of the exhibition is an award winning sound designer of Hollywood movies like Gravity and The Arrival.

Exclusive V 'La Nouvelle Epoque (Fred und Luna Remix)'

After premiering Fred und Luna's remix for Peter Pardeike's 'Love Supreme' back in September the Karlsruhe based musician is back with another remix, this for the mysterious artist V and his track 'La Nouvelle Epoque' on Le Temps Perdu. But what truly connects the previous Fred und Luna's remix and his current one is the story behind it. 

Before Rainer Buchmüller, how close friends call Fred und Luna, could work his 'Kraut-Skills' on Peter Pardeike's remix as well as on V's he had to overcome the burden of facing a completely crashed computer. But of course Rainer came up with a solution. The Karlsruhe resident jumped onto the next train to Berlin to meet up with his friend Achim Treu alias UFO Hawaii, who bailed Rainer out of this misery and helped him set up the remixes. And e voila here is the second one that was produced during Rainer's short visit in Berlin.

V's EP 'La Nouvelle Epoque' was released on Le Temps Perdu November 24th, 2017.

MK8 operates in the elusive collision point of melodic house, techno and trance, aptly blending elements from all to create a voice to call his own. Drawing influence from the euro trance hooks of the late 90's to contemporary rave anthems and from raw underground club rumble to movie scores, his infectious sound is always a mix of old-school and contemporary. In this space he forges something truly unique and sets a standard for an artist who refuses to be confined by boundaries of genre.

Even as a child he had headphones on all the time, constantly inhaling music from the likes of Faithless, Armin Van Buuren and Eric Prydz. It was clear from the get-go that he had a passion for dance music. Having used the earlier years of his career in perfecting his sound and skill set as well as organizing underground raves, the budding talent was primed for success. After introducing himself with multiple Beatport Top 100 tracks across several genres, at the end of 2021 he made a big break in collaborating with the Hungarian techno powerhouse Droplex. The resulting single 'Addicted' became a massive hit, paving the way for the release of his first studio album 'Visions Of The Future'.

Throughout the years MK8 has toured massive Nordic festivals (Weekend, Summer Sound, Electric) as well as the premier club events. Support from artist heavyweights such as David Guetta, Above & Beyond, Sander van Doorn, Paul Van Dyk, Cosmic Gate and Solarstone as well as airplay on A State Of Trance, Group Therapy and Kiss Fm, is proof enough of his momentum. On the present day, as the mastermind behind 'Insomnia', his personal club imprint, MK8 showcases the most intriguing domestic and international acts. For years, he has been a central figure in bringing like-minded people together, united in love for electronic music. 

With a packed schedule, both for new releases as well for high-profile performances, the future is looking very promising for this flourishing artist.
