According to the catalogue MKT Rec. reaches Release number 31, thanks to the everlasting work of label master Markantonio and to a huge number of collaborations with many producers across the globe. Raul Mezcolanza & Khat are the men of this latest work, “Impala” E.P. is the title of this package including three original tracks born from a featuring between the well known Spanish DJ/Producer and Khat.
“Impala” is the homonymous track of the EP, that has a nice jumpin’ techno soul mixed to groovy sounds and latin waves, the break goes to be really quiet but the track restarts with a special percs trick to define an energy tech explosion.
“The Cabin” is the second step of the journey, a nasty dark mix where straight hi hats and deep bassline are the spirit of the track, no time to joke just dark Techno music.
Everything is going to take over, bouncing beat and plastic bassline are the hearth of this tune fused with deep sounds and hypnotic chords. This is only a little taste of what the listener can ear in the middle of this special Tech House track, so ladies and gentlemen “Welcome to Biarcliff”
Once again MKT is putting on the floor something really original, the Neapolitan label always enjoys the collaboration of special artists and top quality music.

Retro was the by far most overworked musical term in all areas house and techno. And well, we have to admit it it: So is this release by our new player MATT JOHN and his debut for Cocoon Recordings. However, this time "retro" works a bit different. It's Sheffield, Warp, the early Hacienda- and LFO-days that are shining through here. No massive Kink-like-909-programming, no Chicago- and no New-York-house revival and finally not just another London- and Berlin-hipster-soundtrack. We are talking northern sound inspired techno here, dark but hedonistic, analogue synths and for those who remember: A Certain Ratio feeling all over the place! Of course this is what we hear here and what we feel and we have no idea if Matt John did all this on purpose but to be honest: We don't care! This is great, this is good, this is techno as we like it and most important: This is hard to find these days. So let the show begin, ladies & gentlemen here comes MATT JOHN!
