The South African phenomenon Black Coffee has become well known in recent years due to his impeccable blend of house, infused with African culture and vibes. In 2012, ‘Buya’ was released featuring the stunning vocalist Yoshi.  The track went platinum in Africa in 2 months, bringing Black Coffee into the international spotlight. Now, Get Physical has taken the reigns and handed the track over to Loco Dice, M.A.N.D.Y. and Da Cappo for their remix wizardry.  

Loco Dice who has African roots spends his proceeds of the EP for the development of the new website, and the donation campaign for the Kliptown Youth Centre in Soweto, South Africa, a non-profit project that provides hope through tutoring, athletic, music and arts programs.  The returns will go to helping the heroes of the Kliptown Youth Center in Soweto, South Africa, giving kids a chance to create and express themselves whereas they might not have had that chance before. The youth is our future, and right now they need our help and support.

Hailing from London and Manchester respectively, breakthrough act Arcatype are a production outfit made up of brothers Karl & Justin along with close friend, Tommy.

With years of production experience between them, after a few collaborative sessions the group soon realised they had a knack for working well together in the studio and continued to meet up in order to build their signature sound. With strong influences from both London and Manchester, their tunes centre on an eclectic mix of soulful melodies, razor-sharp beats and deep rolling bass lines.

In April of 2015 the decision was made to send out material under a single alias and as a result, ‘Arcatype' were formed. Upon receiving a demo, label boss Clive Ingredients was quick to sign the trio’s material who are now hotly tipped for success well into 2016; with their well received release in November 2015.

Clive on this release "Arcatype return to Ingredients for their 2nd release and yet again prove they are ones to watch. 3 stunning tracks, their attention to detail & execution in the mix shows maturity and an energy for drum & bass that will see them go very far."

Arcatype - New Funk

This September marks the release of a new 3-track EP entitled ‘I’ll Show You’ from Junior Gee on our good friends London imprint Lower East.

Based on the UK’s south coast, Junior Gee’s involvement in the UK house scene dates back an impressive 20 years, regularly appearing at events like High Tide, Amplified Sessions and Full Circle. With releases on labels like Plastic City and Nick Curly and Gorge’s 8bit imprint, his most recent project comes in the shape on a new EP named ‘I’ll Show You’ on Cozzy D’s brainchild Lower East. Launched in 2010, Lower East has swiftly established itself as one of London’s most prominent labels, serving as a creative platform for the likes of Lee Foss, Gavin Herlihy and Floyd Lavine.

Here though we see the label return with a new release from Junior Gee, directly fuelled by influences blooming from the deep roots of raw classic house. Opening the EP is title track & our Debut Transmission ‘I’ll Show You’, firmly driven by a heady bass groove, chopped vocal loops and clattering percussion alongside the unfaltering lead line.
