Description: This is a new theme I finished recently, with a trip around the stars in mind. I used EWQL Symphonic Orchestra as usual, as well as a piano with many effects to give it a "spacy sound".

Fantastic atmosphere! Great visual music! 

You should definitely quantize some of this, I know a lot of people say don't quantize to keep a human feel but if you consider that a professional player would easily be able to play these 8th notes very accurately to the "click". To avoid the music being too static but keeping it proffessional sounding, quanitse everything within 10ticks of the grid and randomise your tempo by -1.5 +1.5 bpm every beat.

i would have ti disagree re quantise. the compositions are lush and natural sounding, and you wouldnt want to make it rigid

The Hunted

Between Tall Trees takes its inspiration from Sue Needham’s painting, Forest. The piece attempts to explore the parts of the forest world that the painting does not show – the wildlife that swarm between the roots and branches that are often heard but seldom seen. In this way, the painting and the music work together in harmony to illustrate two aspects of forest life – the flora (Forest) and the fauna (Between Tall Trees).

To represent these forest creatures, I built upon a series of simple themes and motifs; most no longer than four notes. By extending and building upon these themes, I discovered a wealth of music to explore – much like uncovering the forest creatures in the woods. The music rarely lets up in pace, providing an exciting and energetic musical experience.

Between Tall Trees garnered First Prize and the Emerging Composer Under 25 Years Prize in the 2016 Matt Withers Composition Competition.

So, finally we are into the second track of my Ep. This is where the voyage gets caught up in a suspicious threat and they have to fight through it. I wanted to create track which was both scary but still kept the epicness in it. I've never created a horror track like this, so it was something new for me as well. I know it's panning a bit much to the right, But I think it adds more of an atmosphere to the track.

All the pictures in the cover is taken from free wallpaper websites and then edited in After Effects CC
