I met clyde when I lived in Madison WI 2001 and was honored to meet him in a coffee shop. After my set he asked if I could rhyme as fast as he drums..(I had no clue who HE was) and I said Hell Yeah I can!

We went to his home studio, he called producer in and 14 hours later I had a track with James Browns drummer!! At the beginning of trackI ask him to slow it down and u hear him call me ahhh chicken!
it was fast, I freestyled most of it due to time...one of the most amazing nights as Spryte


Clyde Austin Stubblefield was an American drummer best known for his work with James Brown. A self-taught musician, he was influenced by the sound of natural rhythms around him. His drum patterns on Brown's recordings are considered funk standards.
