Melody is quite good, but I have some personal opinion about the emotion inside your song. At about somewhere after 0:45 (just for example), maybe you can reduce the average volume and bring more dynamic into the song, and slowly bring the emotion and volume up before the part at 1:18. Between 1:19~1:38 sounds like something that is most exciting & colorful personally, and I think it can be put at somewhere closer to the end (the last part can be a little bit shorter).

Childhood in 7/8 time: Istanbul Before Twelve smells of simit and the sea; it sounds like ferry horns, spoon percussion, and merchants’ cries. Makam melodies meet nu-jazz soul—warm, handcrafted, alive.



This is my first map of Istanbul—from the courtyard to the ferry, from the tea garden to the Grand Bazaar. You’ll hear makam colors, microtones, and aksak grooves in 7/8 and 9/8; saz, oud, kanun, ney, kaval, zurna, darbuka, and davul telling how the city sounded to me before I turned twelve.
Each track is a scene: our block, the neighbor, Teacher Veli (stern and kind), friendship and hospitality, the green valleys, the Bosphorus, the nights, the tea garden, and the journey forward. Between seagulls and ferry horns, nu-jazz and soul blend with a hint of djent—honest, warm, handcrafted.
