MMA Fight Coverage formerly MMA FIGHT RADIO is currently one of the twelve media outlets in the world who do the official UFC Fighter Rankings. Our host Dallas Hall uses his expertise  to make these critical decisions on behalf of MMA Fight Radio.

UFC Fighter Rankings are generated by a voting panel made up of media members. The media members were asked to vote for who they feel are the top fighters in the UFC by weight-class and pound-for-pound. A fighter is only eligible to be voted on if they are in active status in the UFC.

A fighter can appear in more than one weight division at a time. The champion and interim champion are considered to be in the top positions of their respective divisions and therefore are not eligible for voting by weight-class. However, the champions can be voted on for the pound-for-pound rankings.

MMA Fight Coverage is Arizona’s best MMA  show. It has been successfully broadcasting for more than 6 years and addressing the latest MMA news, from UFC and Bellator fighters, steroid controversies, fighter rankings, injuries, interviews with top MMA fighters, trainers and health and wellness experts. Watch out! Is all we can say about our  host Dallas.

Dallas is as real as they come. As a highly touted athlete Dallas’ competition days came to an end when he suffered a tragic auto accident in 2000 leaving him paralyzed from the chest down. It may have ended his competition career but it never stopped his drive or passion for sports. Dallas is not just a fan, he has been able to successfully navigate the national MMA scene. He got his start in MMA managing several local pros using his proven knowledge of running a profitable corporation helped these athletes understand the importance of branding and creating their own value inside and outside the cage.

As if that’s not enough, He has since moved into his dream position and is a newly licensed judge with the AZ Boxing commission. With his intimate knowledge of the business structure of mma and his wealth of technical recognition of martial arts Dallas is a welcomed edition to MMA Fight Radio and we are sure the fans will enjoy his unfiltered and educated cantor.

Tyree Fortune has an undefeated record after 5 professional fights heading into his 3rd Bellator MMA event.  The twin brother to fellow Bellator MMA Heavyweight fighter Tyrell Fortune is based out of Portland Oregon at American Top Team. Tyree remains where the two were born while Tyrell lives in Tempe Az and trains out of Arizona Combat Sports.

Will we being seeing Tyree here with his brother in the Phoenix area: “I’m probably going to start cross training with them. Just to get the experience because I have never trained anywhere else. It will be a great turning point in my career. I need to have experiences, that’s how you grow as a person as an athlete.” According to Tyree’s Facebook Page he is Fighter/Coach out of American Top Team PDX / Bellator MMA Coach at Peninsula Wrestling Club.

“I would like to fight my way to the title but after the tournament if somebody wants to fight for the title that’s just fine too. I want to earn it. I don’t want it gifted to me.”

UFC Celebrates 20 Years with a visit to Phoenix

In celebration of its 20th Anniversary, the UFC has launched “20 Days to UFC 167,” a campaign spanning North America from Oct. 28 to Nov. 16, the date of the championship Pay-Per-View event, UFC® 167: ST-PIERRE vs. HENDRICKS.

Over 20 days, the UFC will visit some two dozen cities for a series of press tours, sponsorship, partner, and cable affiliate appearances, military base visits, cross-promotion with other sports teams, and more.

The tour will kick off in Denver, the site of UFC 1, on Oct. 28, and conclude in Las Vegas on Nov. 16, the site of UFC 167.

On Tues Nov 12 the tour arrives in Phoenix, Az. and will meet up with MMA Fight Radio as we conduct an in-depth interview with former UFC Champion Benson Henderson.
