Dear Randoms, 

It's taken these strange times for many of us to finally realize the value art plays in our day to lives. Something we may have taken for granted before. For us at Random Collective, we've struggled with the turnover and pace of the modern music business. So in an effort to slow things down, take it all in and add a sense of permanence and timelessness to this little niche of ours we've decided to start pressing some select Random releases. 

We are thrilled to be offering Oora's incredible album "Iterations" as RCLP01. With your help this dream to hold these works of art in our hands, and watch the needle lower into the grooves will become a reality. And with the success of this project, there will be more to follow. 

Iterations is the second album by Federico. While his first album Memoria was a nostalgic journey back into his childhood, Iterations is conversely an escape from forced confinement, both physical and mental. 

For the first time in his productions, Chiesa moves beyond the limitations of strictly using analog synths and drum machines. In the past he made extensive use of classic hardware such as the 303 and 808, while incorporating sporadic field recordings and acoustic instruments. His vision for this album was to create an unreachable sonic space as a refuge from his daily apartment walls.

Each track is unearthed from a specific envisioned landscape. The outcome resulting in a cinematic experience that rises to an uplifting crescendo. The entire album was recorded and mixed in his Brooklyn apartment.
