haiku #451: first light / losing the thread / of a dream

This is the final experiment I'm going to do using an Audacity cut up from the piano improvisation I did a few weeks back (thanks @stellato-strings for use of your lovely piano), and I'm still playing around with seeing what sounds I can maximise from the Garageband presets.

Embers is a minimal electronic piece shaped by a jazz-informed sensibility and environmental sound.
The core structure is intentionally restrained, allowing subtle rhythmic movement and space to breathe.

In the background, the sound of a campfire is continuously present — not as a texture to decorate the music, but as an environment that frames it.
Fire is one of the oldest repeating sounds humans have lived with, and here it functions as a quiet, unstable loop beneath the composition.

This track exists somewhere between improvisation and structure, between the primitive and the electronic.

EMBERS

This EP is made up of tracks I created about six years ago.

Today, they no longer really represent my current artistic direction, but they are still part of my story. For some time now, I’ve been going through a period where I struggle to make new music, and rather than letting these tracks sit forever on a hard drive, I felt the need to finally share them.

Releasing this project is both a way to close a chapter and to let go of a weight. These are my first attempts, my early instincts, created without filters or strategy. Maybe putting them out into the world will help me rediscover the desire, the momentum, or simply a way forward.

I am still looking, trying and experimenting, I really like electronic ambient for many years, but it only works as a live percussionist. In short, nothing is black or white:)
In today's hectic world I need quiet sounds and the vast majority of songs created at night, so are my compositions such as they are.

My tracks is based on the absolute freedom of the use of sound. Arises as if I painted a picture. In the head is the base, and then adding the details here and there.
As well as if I were his music told the story.
