Long overdue, we are happy to welcome Damiano von Erckert to Cocoon Recordings with his debut single, bringing late summer vibes that were well worth the wait. Damiano's lovely energy shines through in this EP, resulting in music that blends soulful character with his signature house sound.

“Steam (Staub Mix)” lifts your spirits from the very first beat, and the summery vibe of the housey Rhodes piano brings a smile to your face. Yet, the track retains a somewhat wistful and melancholy feel. Skillful intonation gives the break a jazzy feel, it's this friction that makes it special. Von Erckert showcases his skill with this playful arrangement, sure to have dancers' hands reaching skyward. Robag Wruhme has been playing songs by Santos from Frosinone in Italy in his DJ sets for a long time. It is always these kinds of weapons that bring the dance floor under control. Santos himself produced music since 1994 and runs the label “Let Me Understand Records”, and has been releasing exclusively his own great music on it since 2018. One day Santos sent a live session demo that immediately caught Robag Wruhme’s attention. The rawness of the beat construction and the strong influence of jazz were just more than right. Now the song is called “Lounge Sabotage” and brings two super sweet friends with it. They are called “In The Evening" and “Age of Gold”. 

We are more than pleased that this 3 track EP will be released on Tulpa Ovi Records.

Label boss Secret Cinema returns on Gem Records to re-release the first ever Secret Cinema track: Timeless Altitude. The re-release is part of the SILVER project celebrating Secret Cinema’s 25 years in music and comes with a brand new Heiko Laux remix. The EP is ready to hit digital stores on April 21st. A total of nine Secret Cinema classics will be re-released with remixes both digital and vinyl as part of the box set SILVER.

The Dutch producer had been making music under several aliases since 1991 and already had a number of worldwide club classics to his name. But in 1994 he spawned his most powerful persona: Secret Cinema. His studio was still in his mother’s house where he made the track sitting on the side of his bed as there was no space for a chair between the bed and the equipment. 

The EP went on to sell over 25.000 copies and even made its way into the overall top 10 in Belgian charts. It was an absolute anthem played by everyone across the globe including the likes of Cox and Väth. He did not know at the time how Timeless the track would be as it is still stands its ground today.

Heiko Laux took on the heavy task of remixing the classic and did a simply amazing job. The result is one of the most epic pieces of techno in the Gem Records catalogue to date. After being released on vinyl as part of the SILVER box it now hits the digital stores for the very first time. 

The Silver box set is limited to 500 pcs, numbered and signed by hand. A real collector’s item and a luxury boxset never seen for an electronic artist. SILVER contains a customized USB stick with all productions ever made by Secret Cinema. Also included are three vinyls with all new remixes, A CD with 4 live sets from the past 3 decades, a greatest hits CD, a new documentary about Secret Cinema (with Adam Beyer, Pan-Pot, Michel de Hey, Benny Rodrigues) the animation film Barcode from 2003, artwork and photo’s, and to top it all off: a floppy disk with all the samples from Sonar System (1991) like the one Verheij used in his Amiga 500. 

Unlike most legends, Verheij has his eye on the future and prefers to develop rather than look back. It’s a good thing Gem Records and Mary Go Wild decided to document Secret Cinema so far…
