DJ, producer, broadcaster, music writer, promoter; Sibson (UK/PT) is a man of many hats. He started out playing punk records in the sticky basements of his northern English hometown, Leeds, honed his craft running selector parties in London and is currently based in Lisbon with his clubnight COMANDANTE (comandante.pt), co-running a vinyl label called Balearic Ensemble and hosting monthly residencies on Palestine’s Radio Alhara and LOOSE FM in London. 

His sound calls on percussive rarities, cosmic stompers, hair-raising dub, touches of EBM and moody, low-slung rock & roll locked firmly on the dancefloor. 

Sibson has achieved a following with his Elevator Edits, a series of hard-to-find disco reworks that reshape eclectic global sounds for the dancefloor. His own productions have been described as "King Tubby at the controls of a Mexican mariachi band; Paul Weller kissing the Kosmos with Brendan Lynch; Weatherall & Nicolson rejigging Galliano" and his machine-assisted cosmic style has been premiered on Dream Chimney, whypeopledance, and Les Yeux Orange. 

Mikey also runs London’s Elevator East party, an underground gathering of heads that offers the chance to hear eclectic, no-holds-barred selections from trailblazing new talent and legends alike. Previous guests include Sean Johnston (A Love From Outer Space), Leo Mas (Amnesia Ibiza), Don Carlos, Nancy Noise, On The Corner Records, Ric Piccolo (Bordello A Parigi / Soundway), Pardonnez-Nous and Nik Weston (Mukatsuku).

PREMIERE : India - The Lover Who Rocks You (Tucan Discos Edit)

Sheffield’s own master craftsman and Robsoul mainstay V.I.C.A.R.I. returns with Flushing The Disk - a four-track EP bursting with floor-fuelled soul, funk-licked grooves, and that unmistakable Steel City finesse.
Once again showcasing his deep bag of tricks, V.I.C.A.R.I. delivers a high-grade pack of DJ-ready tools, each oozing with character and control. Opening with the lush and string-soaked Miles Behind You, the EP sets its emotional tone before diving headfirst into the playful shuffle of Hypnotise You, where those unmistable keys take centre stage.
Title cut Flushing The Disk drops the hammer with a gut-punching bassline and stripped-back swagger, while All My Love Again rounds things off by bringing sunshine to the floor with a guitar-led groovethat’s built for closing sets and heartfelt moments.
Simple in its construction, intricate in its delivery, V.I.C.A.R.I. continues to lead with his understated brilliance.

For our 36th release, we are honored to welcome back to Boyanza one of our favorite producers and a friend of the label: Tyu, with his long-awaited Tómbola EP. This time around, the release features two original tracks and one remix by Guadalajara’s young talent, My Boy Roy. The original tracks are immediately recognizable as Tyu’s, thanks to their percussive power fused with a clear Latin influence—making this a match made in heaven for Boyanza, and a must-have dancefloor filler for any DJ.

First up, we have “Tómbola,” a track so vibrant and exciting it never fails to get everyone dancing, no matter the context. With Spanish vocals as its driving force and subtle yet thumping percussion and bassline, this track will have both your grandma and your snobby raver friend dancing alike. It has been thoroughly tested on dancefloors by all the DJs on the label (and by those lucky enough to have received it before its official release), and it never misses the mark.

Following the bright energy of Tómbola, Tyu takes a darker turn with “Ma Ku Sá,” which showcases the producer’s love for hypnotic rhythms and long buildups that culminate in a groove that locks you in and won’t let go. Ma Ku Sá will sound familiar to many, as it features a classic phrase originally sung by Manu Dibango—sampled countless times. But make no mistake: this is a fresh and original take that stands apart, sure to have everyone at the afterparty asking for the track ID.

Last but not least, we welcome another friend and longtime collaborator of the label, My Boy Roy, on remix duties for Ma Ku Sá. MBR’s rendition stays true to the ominous vibe of the original, adding even more hypnotic elements while highlighting the percussion, giving it a dubbier, smoother edge without losing the rawness that defines the original. The result? The perfect track for when you want to bring a jungle vibe to the club—or take the club to the jungle.

Some summer cuts fade like cheap tan lines - but Emi Ömar doesn’t deal in disposable sunshine. Sitting mid-way through Summer Hits Vol. 1, the Paris-based Groove To Grave crew’s first digital VA, “Beat a Stick” hits that rare sweet spot where sticky funk, house heat, and playful hookiness all lock arms and swagger off together down the beach.

It’s the kind of track that doesn’t need permission to flirt. A bassline that bounces like it knows it’s being watched, drums that strut just enough to keep the floor honest - and then, front and center, those vocals: “Baby I like you a lot, you’re really hot!” Equal parts pickup line, dancefloor dare, and pure grin-wrapped summer mischief.

True to Emi Ömar’s groove-first philosophy, “Beat a Stick” doesn’t over-polish its edges. It stays raw enough to feel alive, tight enough to stay in motion - the kind of low-slung, sun-kissed roller you’ll want looping through poolside speakers long after the last bottle’s empty.

A sly highlight on an eight-track collection that knows exactly where you want to be when the heat peaks: somewhere between the beach, the booth, and the moment that bassline hits just right.
