Asked a bunch of people to submit some Super mario Galaxy, Galaxy titles to me over on tumblr so I could write music to their suggestions : )

Cotton Cloud Galaxy felt very big and very free. Open and fluffy similar to the "Fluffy Bluff Galaxy". I wanted to create a purely orchestral piece that would be at home in any of the other Galaxies that were big, beautiful and full of that floating wonder.

I took inspiration from most of the orchestral songs from both Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 including "Good Egg Galaxy", "Sky Station Galaxy", "Fluffy Bluff Galaxy" and "Gusty Garden Galaxy"

The Gargantuan Gears Galaxy struck me as a place that was very mechanical and just fun all around. I took a lot of inspiration from "Flip-Switch Galaxy", "Rightside Down Galaxy" and "Flipsville Galaxy" All of which were predominantly Synth based songs with very few organic instruments.

Eyes Edge Galaxy felt very mystic, like the essence of simply floating around in space. So unlike the other two which fell to the extremes of organic instrumentation and synth instruments, I used both. I took heavy inspiration from "Space Junk Road".
