Now available on iTunes, the Chorus of St. Jacob Serugh of Vancouver offers samples of its first ever album "Journey through Holy Week." This album is a three volume set which includes selections from most hymns and some spiritual songs of Holy Week as it is celebrated in the Coptic Orthodox Church. The album offers the listener a journey through Holy Week as each track explores an event in Christ's Passion through the musical prism of the Coptic Church.

For the first time we offer an album in all three languages (Coptic, English and Arabic) to be enjoyed by families and peoples of all backgrounds. This album is also one of the first to include hymns in English accompanied with music. It also includes rare spiritual songs and many melismatic hymns in Coptic never before performed with music. Unlike much of what one hears on the radio, the slower hymns allow for contemplation in stillness in contrast with the fast pace of modern living. This record provides the listener with the opportunity to enjoy a different perspective in hymnology from an ancient heritage.
