☥☥☥ begin cleaning up potential mess

☥☥☥ if necessary put the winter clothes in the washing machine,
that you will be putting in storage

☥☥☥ if you have hoarded stuff or have to sort out papers, 
do it now and get rid of everything you don't need, 
yet try to make a donate box or bag of everything,
that could be valuable to another

☥☥☥ get all your supplies out and ready:

old newspapers and cruelty free chamois leather for mirrors and windows;

cloths, sponges, buckets, try to use different reusable ones for different surfaces. so never mix the kitchen top, dining tables ones with stuff you`d also use for your floors and a different one for your bathroom clearly. in my bathroom i separate my floor and toilet from the rest in there. washing them after at at least 60°C/140°C. and again, when washing them, separate all the floor and toilet ones from the ones you use for surfaces you prepare food or eat from;

dustpan and brush, optionally a separate soft dustpan and brush for furnature, vacuum and mop;

vinegar is especially great to get rid of lime scale and fat, but also as a clothing softener and ironically a smell remover. i always use one with about 4%, because that isn`t that concentrated, so it won`t hurt plastic pipes;

baking soda is great for cleaning and neutralizes odors too. there`s too much to write, so I added a website in the bottom. just google for natural ways of cleaning for specific problems you might face or dm me;

lavender oil not only smells nice, but especially if you have pets like cats or dogs, it will both prevent fleas and also gets rid of them if you already have them. so i always make sure to especially put some in the water to clean my floors. it helps to keep many other bugs away too;

against moths I prefer to use cedarwood oil inside my closets. there are many other oils you can use for specific plagues.

☥☥☥ begin dusting off everything, 
don't skip the most annoying corners

☥☥☥ if you haven't cleaned your drains recently,
now is the time. boiling water, vinegar + baking soda are truly your friends here.

☥☥☥ wash the windows with a sponge or cloth
soaked in hot water with a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar one
by one, make sure to use gloves if you have delicate hands
against the heat, don't use chemicals ! if you haven't cleaned them for a while, first clean them with a tiny bit of soap.

☥☥☥ dry them with old or unwanted newspaper

☥☥☥ turn up the mix a little more and start vacuuming,
the entire place, move furniture wherever possible, 
again don't skip a thing

☥☥☥ now go mopping the floor, unless you have carpet 
and if you have cats or dogs, use lavender oil in the hot water
to make sure you don't get a flea infestation,
now that temperatures will finally rise again

☥☥☥ if you managed all this within the hour, 
you either had already a very tidy house,
or you just live as tiny as I do

☥☥☥ anyway congrats ! now have fun in your decluttered, 
no longer winter depressed smelling house !!
