Yes that's exactly what I was thinking when this piece showed up in the Simpsons episode...I was feeling quite smug about it, like 'hmm, I bet I actually know what band this is by...'. Then I looked it up and was quite disappointed not to be as clever as I thought. It DOES totally sound like Royksopp (or Royskopp, never figured out which spelling is correct). BUT, now, feeling disappointed since it appears that it was written just for the show by Scott Clausen, Alf Clausen's son, and Fox is not planning on releasing it separately. Hope I'm not just repeating what the user that made this loop already knew. Anyway, sux that there's no 'full' version to buy! But thank you to the user for putting this little track together on soundcloud.

Faith No More, who reunited in 2009 for a series of sold out performances and international festivals, is currently recording their first full-length album since 1997’s Album of the Year. 

A limited edition (5000 copies) 7-inch single of the song “Motherfucker” will precede the April 2015 release, available via Record Store Day’s Black Friday event (Nov. 28).  The single will be released digitally on Dec. 9.

"We’ve always shared a chemistry between ourselves that’s unique to this band, but these past few years of touring together have made us aware that we not only play better as a unit, but we like the new stuff we’re coming up with,” explained Faith No More founder and bass player, Bill Gould, who also spoke with Rolling Stone in more detail (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/faith-no-more-to-release-first-album-in-18-years-plot-u-s-tour-20140902). “So we’ve decided: we’re going to get busy in 2015…make an album we’re proud of, kick things up a notch, get out there and perform it and maybe even dedicate a little more focus to our fans in the States this time."

The as-of-yet untitled album is being recorded in an Oakland, Calif. studio with Gould handling production.  The release will be the first from Faith No More’s newly formed imprint, Reclamation Recordings, which will be distributed by Ipecac Recordings.

Prior to the new album’s release, Faith No More will headline Australia’s Soundwave Festival in February 2015.  Worldwide tour dates will be announced soon.

The music of Faith No More has lived through five presidents, endless wars, economic boons and busts, global meltdown and revolutionary rebirths. Throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s, the hard-edged group’s hybridized sound has scored the soundtrack to a time of change, and now in the 21st century, the legendary band has evolved once more to return with a powerful new album, Sol Invictus, and a new focus.

After eleven years of silence, the San Francisco band reunited for a string of shows from 2009-2012. During that time, the group rekindled the creative anarchy that earned them platinum and gold records, cult status and critical acclaim, forging new music that captures the kinetic sound that made Faith No More one of the most influential rock outfits of their era. “When we first started rehearsing [for the reunion],” Gould says, “Our brains were there but our bodies weren’t. The muscle memory wasn’t there yet. We had to play these songs we hadn’t played in 14 years. But it came back, and it was incredible to hear our songs onstage, coming out of us again.” 

“Superhero,” is the second single from the forthcoming album, which will be available as a limited edition 7-inch single on March 17.

On the eve of their sold out North American tour, Faith No More is sharing a remix of the single “Superhero,” crafted by Einstürzende Neubauten’s Alexander Hacke.

The music arrives as the band announces two additional UK dates: June 14 at O2 Academy (Glasgow) and June 17 at The Roundhouse (London).  Faith No More plays the Download Festival on June 13.
