Here's a FREE music character theme I did for one of my friends on Facebook based off their character reference as way for me to practice composing character themes. This one turned out a bit mysterious, I guess because of how I was feeling at the time and how I managed to interpret the shy/introverted personality of his character.

Here is a short track I composed as a tribute to Gareth Coker and his wonderful work on the OST for "Ori and the Blind Forest" I absolutely adore the texture and harmonies he has done for the soundtracks. I've recently spoken to him on Twitter on how he went about creating that unique sound for his soundtracks. He told me he used:

Omnisphere Bell Synth Sample
Live piano, Imperfect Samples Walnut Grand Piano
Reverb = 2C Audio 2B
Crotales, Dulcitone

Specifically for his track "Inspiriting" I of course could not recreate that sound myself, due to lacking the samples themselves so I tried to make my own take on it and here is the result.

Ori and the Blind Forest - Time

Two 8th graders, one a Cradle Of Filth keyboardist, the other a Slayer guitarist, begin making music. Go their separate ways Sophomore year of high school, evolving in different directions, only to one day be re-united by the shear stroke of fate of a $100 acoustic bass virtual yard sale ad 13 years later. Now back with all new technology, know-how, a plethora of instruments, musical theory background neither had in the hey-day, and most importantly... VENGEANCE!
