The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nicolas Rada for his third appearance. Upon beginning his career in 2007, Nicolas quickly became a favourite of Hernan Cattaneo where his original productions and private remixes become a staple in the sets of the storied DJ. Hailing from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean artist eventually found a home on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and Eelke Kleijn’s Days Like Nights where his groovy progressive sound has flourished. 2017 proved to be a breakout year, highlighted by his first remix collaboration with Nick Warren, where the duo reworked Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ to both critical and commercial success. Now frequent studio partners, Nicolas and Nick have continued to build a strong studio synergy showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint while also recording a string of impressive remixes for Get Physical, Monday Social Music, Proton Music and Timeless Moment. On the solo front, Nicolas has also continued to prosper with an appearance on Patrice Buamel’s GU Berlin compilation, along with original projects for Sudbeat Music and TRYBESof. Having first appeared on our free download series with his hugely sought-after remake of Bjork’s ‘Mutual Core’ in 2019 and then again in 2020 with an equally large rendition of Underworld’s ‘Cowgirl’, we’re happy to welcome Nicolas back with a huge interpretation of the Depeche Mode classic ‘Precious’. Initially remixed by progressive house icons Sasha and Spooky in 2005, Nicolas now brings a new perspective to the track which has been championed by John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. After months of requests from electronic music fans we’re now happy to offer it as an exclusive free download. Enjoy!

With great pleasure we proudly welcome back on our label 'Darksidevinyl.' This time he teamed up with an amazing artist from the USA called 'Julie Schatz'. Julie is a professional musician/artist/producer, singer and songwriter and well trained in multiple instruments.

The beautiful piano is one of them. A fusion between them brought forward this epic track somewhere between melodic house and with Darksidevinyl's classic powerful afro influences. The piece is a big track on a high production level with a beautiful piano line hovering above an epic groove, progression and strong synth elements with fantastic breaks and dynamic. A wonderful song to open up your melodic house and techno set but also very well to mix in any afro set.

For the remix both of them asked their good friend 'Goda Brother' from Egypt to lay hands on this epic piece. He kept the main instrument and added an epic electric guitar as supporting melody and openend the track to a more afro beat oriented version.
