After a brief summer hiatus, moscow records are back with an amazing 3-tracker from London artists 'OdD'. Close friends of the moscow family, the duo appeared earlier this year, with a series of incredibly well-received releases on their own limited 'OdD Music' vinyl imprint.

Both Damian and Danny were born into music. As both are sons of Reggae musicians, this has been their main inspiration, along with their shared passion for raw drums and nasty undertones.

One of them has been playing drums and producing music for over 10 years, the other has been a DJ and an avid music collector equally, and by combining there skills and knowledge this gives OdD a distinctive sound and style like no other.

" OdD " is an adjective denoting the quality of being unpaired, occasional, strange or unusual, or a person who is viewed as eccentric. It may also refer to: Only drums & Decks !

For his second release on Dessous, Milan's Geronimo Gaiaschi delivers an EP of deeply infectious grooves that oozes class from start to finish.

The title track offers up a delicious concoction of Rhodes keys and smoky jazz inflections before a brittle synth and snatch of soulful vocal usher in an entrancing Chicago groove. Utterly moreish, it's a tune to stick on repeat.

Philpot label founder Jackmate's devilishly playful version does exactly what a remix should do: give the original tune's elements a fresh twist while respecting its distinctive spirit. A pounding kick, astonishing in its rippling intensity, underpins off-kilter and pitched-up samples that somehow hold together for an exhilarating ride. 

'Fish Paul' marries spacey Eno-esque drones to a pounding beat and crackling interference. Testament to Gaiaschi's years of directing and promoting parties and his DJ residencies at Milan's Dude and Tunnel Clubs, it's a tune that embodies a fine-tuned understanding of the dancefloor. 

'The Point' rounds things off with bright keys and crisp claps, to build a dreamy, skilfully layered groove.

Gary (who also goes by the name Slikk Tim) hails not from the streets of Detroit, Oakland or Atlanta, but from the post-industrial city of Nancy, France. While he might be a relatively new name as a producer, he’s got plenty of experience as a session musician for the likes of Dâm-Funk and Orlando Voorn, as well as having played for Los Hermanos, the project headed by Gerald Mitchell of Underground Resistance.

Indeed, it was Voorn who introduced Gary to Underground Resistance’s Mad Mike, who helped get him his first deal on Clone Records. Now Gary’s newest slice of futuristic electro funk – The Sugar Cane Chronicles Vol. 1 - is being released on Hypercolour next month.

The EP’s not out until 1st April (no foolin’) but we’ve got the exclusive premiere of the lead track, ‘Preachin’ Some Tight Game’. A super-groovy blend of fluttering jazz chords, silky caramel bass, and raw drum programming courtesy of Gary’s trusted 606. Topped off with a squiggly little G-funk melody that’ll worm its way inside your skull and set up shop for the spring.

Tel Aviv’s @AUTARKIC lands on Turbo with an excellent new-wave inspired EP, backed by a killer remix from compatriots RED AXES.

Following a debut EP on Golf Channel in 2015, Autarkic aka Nadav Spiegel has risen in status alongside his close friends and collaborators Red Axes and Moscoman. His recent debut LP for Mosco’s red-hot Disco Halal has garnered critical acclaim, including a 4/5 review on Resident Advisor. Spiegel clearly has a rare talent as a songwriter, crafting the kind of intelligent, left-field pop music that one usually has to look back to the avant-garde of the 1980s to find. It’s an influence Autarkic not only wears well - he seems legitimately to be of another place and time. The sound is never pastiche, even as it recalls the character and mood of familiar classics, perhaps because it’s filtered, inevitably, through the fractured prism of middle eastern culture.

If things were more downtempo, experimental and psych rock on his first EPs, these tracks for Turbo point squarely at the dance-floor, and have been staples in the sets of not only Moscoman and Red Axes, but in the other rising stars of the underground Israeli scene around labels like Malka Tuti and Fortuna records, as well as the global groove empire developing around Turbo A&R Thomas Von Party’s Multi Culti.

It’s a stunning record, with substance, character, and style. The arrangements are especially strong, each song building in a way that feels exceedingly rare in dance music, in every case the second half elements come together in just the right way to surprise you, even make you fall in love. The somber vocals and unadorned production are just rough enough to make the unexpectedly beautiful twists and emotive flourishes call your attention and keep you hooked.

For those that still need convincing, there’s also a slamming Red Axes remix, as if those guys need any introduction. An unexpected and welcome return for Tiga’s venerable label.

Shortly after @Aussteiger's successful debut on Dub Disco we knew exactly that we wanted our long time friends S&W (@S-and-W) on board for our second release. These guys have been a huge influence on us for a long time now. First we fell in love with their eclectic and powerful DJ sets and when we heard the demos of these hardware nerds we were truly blown away.

When we asked them to produce our second release they handcrafted this EP full of lovely analogue sounds for us. It surely stands in contrast to the first record and by that underlines exactly what Dub Disco is about: A journey through the vastness of electronic music.

Cashmere Green is the opener on this EP. It's a true Nu-Funk, West-Coast influenced banger with a distant cosmic flair carried by meticulous and peculiar drums. Driven by a pending groove, this one invites the light into any dreamers ears and ensures your very own trippy dancefloor experience.

On the flip, we dive into Wind up Bird. The track starts off as a scratchy and vibrant House track, riding on a funky bassline. It gets carried away by dreamy chords and breaks down into an incredible melancholic melody that will keep no eye dry.

Finally there is Machine Love. An 80s influenced open air peak time party tool that will definitely put a smile on your face and a rocket in your pocket.
