Typhoon Mawar hit this weekend in Tokyo, which brought violent winds and flooded the city. Seeing such a tremendous display of force makes one reflect on the strength of nature, and our relative insignificance in it. 

These tracks were written during the peak of the storm, with the backdrop of wind whizzing and rain showering my studio window. Meant to be listed in one go.

The EP makes extensive use of DMX & Drumtraks drummachines which were kindly lent to me during the summer. The era from which these machines were built really seeped through the production, and created a distinct 80s infused sound that blends with braindance and ambient tones.

Unreleased ambient tracks. All tracks are made around field recordings of "numbers stations" and are played live.

Numbers station are unidentified shortwave radio stations that broadcasts of formatted numbers on irregular interval, thought to be intended for intelligence services. They have been reported since at least the start of World War I and continue to be in use today. Their messages remain undecoded and the significance of the broadcasts is unknown.
