JULY 2020 - An unknown virus ravages the world, leaving the streets devoid of life. A deafening silence reverberates off the urban canyons of once bustling mega cities. The only creatures in this hostile environment are those with nothing to loose: Wild animals scavenging for food and those who have fallen through the cracks of a long broken society. Amongst them are four brave beatmakers, venturing into this inhospitable new world, on the run from the confinement within. They are "The Confined Four"

Découvre en avant première "The Machinist" (sortie le 19/11 !), premier LP de BEYOND THE VOID (Beyond Death, Strasbourg), grâce à un entretien en compagnie d'Antoine G. (guitare/composition), Antoine B. (guitare), Maxime (batterie), Cyril (chant) et Déborah (communication et logistique) !
Les musiciens livrent avec sincérité leurs réflexions au sujet de l'évolution musicale (stagnation ou rupture !?), de leurs influences extra Metal (prog', fusion et... jazz !?) et leur intégration dans leur jeu, de l'intérêt de signer sur un label en 2022, de la crainte de la page non pas blanche mais recopiée sur les nombreux voisins Death Metal, entre autres sujets abordés !

“Death Cult & Armenian Paper” is HONE's first and long awaited LP. The 12 tracks feature DMC World Supremacy Champion Nelson Scratch, IDA French Champion DJ Madpressure, DJ T-Killa & Mighty Vinc' and Bonzer.

The beats were crafted at HONE's Antechamber Studio on the MPC 2500 and feature obscure samples ranging from free jazz to electronic soundscape, recorded guitar leaks, synths, heavy drums and solid basses, the whole spiced with haunting percussions.

HONE’s sound is slow, heavy and represents the vanguard of the European beat making movement, while at the same time checking all the boxes of the hip hop code. A style he simply calls “Doom Bap”.

“Death Cult & Armenian Paper is a very personal work, representing the duality, a journey between day and night, sweet and sour, life and death, good and evil. It’s been a long time in the making”, the artist offers.

The LP is available on solid white vinyl with amazing graphic design by Bonzer.
