Bristol based imprint FutureBoogie delivers rock solid nu-disco and house 12"s for already five years now. Their latest release to date by Lauer certainly didn't disappoint and they're now rolling into spring
with a heavyweight one from dastardly duo Ron & Neil Aka Ron Basejam and Neil Diablo, who between them bring years of musical chops and (most importantly) "the funk" to the table.
In its Original Mix, ‘Perdre Son Éclat’ is a breezy yet sturdy slice of atmospheric synth dance, resplendent with swirling riffs and stammering bass. A thunderous Roland CR-78 drum pattern keeps everything in check, and its sultry french vocals flitter between spoken word and harmonious refrains, lacing the track with a superb "new wave" feel.
Here premiered, a remix comes courtesy of Man Power, the musical enigma that traded on his anonymity for a couple of years before coming clean as the English DJ/producer Geoff Kirkwood. Having released on labels like Hivern, Throne Of Blood and Correspondant, Man Power takes "Perdre Son Éclat" into even deeper territories, crafting a moody and spacious version that respectfully stays close to the original mix. As she looked out from the castle atop the hill her face glowed in the break of the day. Shiviana was a beautiful girl, an embodiment of everything that the kingdom below was not. If only all things could be as gracious as her, as delicate as the turn of her head and as gentle as the way in which her hair blew in the breeze. The clouds hung dark in the distance above the people who longed for freedom from the crown. She was but a mere princess caught up in this mess and she could do very little but gaze out on the ruin which was unfolding before her very eyes. One day things would be different. 

The Junto Club are the next in a neverending line of creativity to pour from Glasgow town. Having previously released music on Optimo they now offer up a debut appearance on the newly formed Snap Crackle & Pop record label.

The street was dark and the light faint. The three stood menacingly gathered around a chair as the orange glow cast a hazy fuzz over the concrete. The moon was ever so white this evening, it shone brightly amidst the stars up above. Watching over the world it looked down in a sense of constant disbelief at the chaos which had begun to unfold on planet earth. Meanwhile the three gathered around the chair remained oblivious to the collapse of mankind. They quite simply moved under the beam from above in a consistent repetitive pattern. 

There is little known to the identity of V. He releases on Nautilus Rising, the record label run by the infamous Sub Club. Three tracks of jacking house you might typically expect to hear in the club on a Saturday night.

Rock and roll is healthy for your bones

Mijo is spearheading the new wave of DJ/Producers heading out from Mexico, Local Suicide are the club regulars with Berlin nights like TOFU and Voyage Voyage.  As well as this, Dina and Max have released tracks with Rodion and released on My Favourite Robot Records with Abu Dhabi, one of the finest tracks of the year. 
Mijo and Local Suicide have come together and in doing so they concocted beats, bleeps and general shenanigans to create a quirky breaky track with a beatbox style cut up vocal which in spite of its playful nature has claws which could sever a spinal column if required, so beware when you get to the speakers, this is sharper than a hypodermic needle fresh from a bag,  it's going to tattoo your eardrums and make your soul dance until it's feet bleed or fall off. In a good way, obviously.

@LocalSuicide, aka Munich’s Brax Moody and Greek-born Vamparela make their debut on @LumiereNoireRecords. Following a string of successful releases on labels such as Bordello, My Favorite Robot, Multi Culti, Roam, Duro and OMBRA amongst others.

Fittingly, Lumière Noire or in English black light, as per the meaning of Chloé’s label’s name suitably describes the way Local Suicide’s music flirts with the more troubling zones of the listener’s psyche, where danger roams and aural comfort is no longer a guarantee.

The EP’s two original tracks set a dark, shifty sonic tableau, in which German-American multidisciplinary artist – and a unique personality of the Berlin underground – Nicki Fehr comes to blend his voice with Vamparela’s. With remixes from Smagghe & Cross, Niv Ast and Lauer.

On 'Already There' Local Suicide affirm their adherence to the more captivating signatures of new wave and post disco. Whilst Permanent Vacation (@permvac) stalwart Lauer adds a surprising electro pop shimmer to the track.

Sinchi is a not for profit label that donates all proceeds to their own foundation, supporting the preservation of indigenous culture. After two fantastic releases already, the third offering is a various artists compilation that shows off the label’s broad array of sounds from producers all over the world.
Here you can find: Tagliabue, Rabih Rizk, Braulio Renteria, Teniente Castillo,  BarumBarum and Lithuanian producer Gimel.
Gimel connects ambient, psychedelic sounds with deep, melodic moods, he plays at renowned clubs such as Opium and runs the ‘Samsara’ events in Vilnius. Here he offers ‘Dobilelis’ a superbly transcendental cut that is littered with vocal chanting and rugged bass riffs that really cast a spell.

Bottom Forty Records boss Nark returns to his Seattle based label with two tantalizing tracks including remixes from Calypso boss Thomass Jackson and Ali X and Palomo.
Nark, aka Kevin Kauer, has headed up the Bottom Forty imprint since 2017 working with artists such as Doc Sleep, La Fracheur & Léonard de Léonard, Ali X, Ximena, Alisu and Shit whilst maintaining the philosophy oflaying down tripped-out, eccentric productions without conformity. Inspired as a young gamer and fueled by the inspirations of travel and gigs today, Nark has cultivated a set of sounds and ideas that have come together to form his creations today which include releases on labels such as Nein Records, 2MR and Bottom Forty in addition to remixes on Soul Clap, Friends with Benefits and Love Story. ‘Do You See Yourself’ sees Nark invite Mexico’s Thomass Jackson who holds releases on Feines Tier, Gomma and his Calypso Records imprint in addition to Ali X and Palomo.
Title track ‘Do You See Yourself?’ lays the foundations for the EP delivering entrancing modulations, chuggy rhythms and eerie vocals taking small stabs at vanity culture, while ‘The Playing Field’ seethes rattling percussion, acid fueled synths and hypnotic chanting alleviating the senses. The Playing Field’ was inspired by a long night out listening to Optimo DJ in a dark warehouse and it was made later that morning as something to fit into a long, building and cathartic set.
On the flip, Thomass Jackson’s remix of ‘Do You See Yourself?’ maintains the stirring style deploying stabbing bass notes, meandering waves and undulating unearthly atmospheres until Ali X x Palomo round things off with an infectious remix fusing shaky, 808 drums, effervescent grooves and bright 303 flavours throughout.
