Heyo friends, returning back to earth from the week away at the doof and what do we have here ?! An absolute romper stomper of a premiere by the Russian duo - Spintribe that has just made us shoot through the roof here at SSA HQ. 

Making their debut on the Canadian label - Techgnosis Records, Spintribe dive slightly away from their signature bubbly, day time psychedelia to rock your world with this hard hitting, peak-time monster - 'Minitaur'. The track's titled inspired by the Moog bass synth, Spintribe have clinically extracted the power and earth shaking qualities that this powerful analogue synth possesses, and have turned it into a memorable dance-floor anthem, with an infectious groove that will prove it to be one of the most played tracks in the festival scene.

We are ecstatic to be kicking off the 2022 Techgnosis Records lineup with a ferocious showing from the always-impressive Aleckat, who first made his label debut exactly 2 years ago. We celebrate this auspicious occasion with the release of 'Scritchy', a truly exceptional mini-album comprised of 5 brand new creations, with 2 of those getting a proper remix treatment from scene icons Miles From Mars and a collaborative rework from fellow Australian artists, the talented Tomchilla and Lektrk. Aleckat's signature playful-yet-serious blend of progressive and psychedelic techno is on full display here, with each piece boasting a strong thematic flavor and sound design. Eucalyptych is a response against the normalized order of the music industry, crumbling the fabricated borders. By inviting the owner of a label to compile a release for a label that is not their own, we can deepen the connection, collaboration and strengthen the sound.

The Mauritian maestro Ken Zo makes his triumphant return to Techgnosis Records with 'Himawari'; an incredible 5 track journey through powerful and emotive progressive crossover music. The long-awaited follow up to 2018's 'The Insignificant I', this deeply personal release yet again sets the standard for Ken Zo's brand of deep, melodic psytech.

A word from the artist:

'Himawari is the Japanese word for 'Sunflower'. The Sunflower is my own personal symbolism for meaningful and transformative life experiences I've been through when I started writing this EP in 2018. 2 years down the road, this symbolism now also represents the end of a chapter of my life. Each track in this EP is a product of raw and powerful emotions. The order of the tracks respects the chronological order in which each track was written, and so the flow of emotions is also respected - each track is also a by-product somehow of the emotion that drove me to write 'Himawari'.

@MNGRM is a blend of styles, mostly defined by techno and psychedelic music (psytechno).
Melodic and dark at the same time, its characterized by powerfull and intoxicating synth lines, emotional atmospheres, deep basslines and rich textures... wich translates in a very characteristic style on the 130 Bpm range.
MNGRM intends to step into the future and break boundaries between light and darkness, with this effective, yet peculiar fusion of music... to make you feel... to explore... and create diferent sensations, memories, and unique moments for those in the other side of the spectrum.
