As for many folks born in the late '90s or early '00s, my dubstep journey started with early Skrillex productions, and the whole style remained connected to this sound for many years. In 2019, when deep dubstep was still a relatively niche genre in Estonia, I occasionally visited the Dubshack event at Sveta Bar, where I was introduced to the roots of the style that I wasn't familiar with before. So when I ended up at London's "Village Underground" for a dubstep party in 2022 and saw thousands of people dancing to the same music I had heard from the Dubshack guys, it was a deeply impressive cultural shock for me. "There are so many more people who love dubstep the same way I do!"

I'm so happy that this style has been reborn and is meeting its root sound these days. Sharing this first-take mix with oldies and goldies combined with the scene's newcomers for everyone who's seeking deep, shaking dubs.
