DANDAN brings a high energy vibe wherever she goes. Her unique style of Techno uses powerful beats with an underlying groove to keep the dance floor on their toes.  

Originally from Tianjin, China, DANDAN spent her late teens and early 20s studying Art & Fashion in England & France. After moving to Japan, she discovered the underground party scene, fell in love with techno music and began to DJ.

From intimate clubs to large festivals, her dynamic sound has been heard on dance floors around the world. With recent gigs at OZORA Festival and Texas Eclipse Festival, as well as Tours in Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, Thailand and Europe, DANDAN is ready to continue exploring more destinations!

Dear listeners, this month we are extremely happy to share a special set with you—a recorded memory that captures the essence of a beautiful night spent among friends in the woods.

This mix, crafted by Münch and Outburst Knobs, was recorded live during our last event in collaboration with our beloved Acquario team.

A few words about the journey you're about to embark on: 
The mix begins with deep and tribal grooves, perfectly suited to the wild forest setting of that night. As the set progresses and the dancefloor becomes a vibrant melting pot, the sound gradually evolves, touching on more psychedelic and euphoric territories.

"Acquario Immersioni" is a renowned electronic music collective based in Milan, recognized for organizing immersive and underground techno events. These events often take place in unique and intimate venues like Masada and Amelia, known for their carefully curated lineups featuring both local and international DJs, focusing on deep, hypnotic techno and creating a sensory experience that resonates with the audience long after the night is over.

'The more time passes, the more often I return to playing from vinyl, which is the most natural form of DJing for me. My entire journey through the electronic scene, from my early DJ days, has been connected with vinyl. Today, I didn’t dive deep into the archives but selected tracks that have been released relatively recently, which probably best define my view on techno. I'm excited to be a part of the MWTG podcast series, thank you for the invitation'.

DJ, promoter, and founder of the brand @playslovakia, based in Žilina/Slovakia. He has also worked as a program manager atthe Guru club in his home town Žilina. Among his own promotial activities and projects are Restart, Technozhluk, FOUR and PLAY., which celebrated six years on the scene this year. In addition to his domestic region, he has been heard in several well-known clubs in Prague, Brno, Wroclaw, Krakow, Katowice and even in London. Hovever he can heard most often in Bratislava. Marosh offers fresh peak club techno sound for both intimate spaces and large stages, but he also enjoys diving into minimal or deep sounds.

My next guest on Yax Invites is F.RITS, a Producer/DJ from Newcastle, Australia. 

F.RITS has been perpetually pushing his own boundaries and those of his audience, crafting a rapid yet profoundly rhythmic sound rooted in his own personal influences. Having started his musical evolution on the creation of hip-hop/trap beats, F.RITS uses these elements to traverse the atmosphere of techno deeply, putting his own unique twist on what the modern sound is meant to be with powerful yet hypnotic rhythmic atmospheres and elements. Inspired by the likes of Mathys Lenne, Ignez, Rene Wise, Orbe and MARRØN, F.RITS continues to push his own development as both a producer and DJ in hopes of hypnotizing prospective crowds for hours.

Our May podcast comes courtesy of STNDRD, with the Barcelona-based producer and DJ delivering a gritty 1-hour session combining intense drum workouts and heavy synth leads.

With a steady output of releases starting in 2018 for several reference labels (Subsist, Dynamic Reflection, Children Of Tomorrow...), STNDRD has since become an active member of the Bahn crew in Barcelona and is also behind the Audio Magnitude project, a label and podcast series showcasing his most valued techno producers from around the world.

Psyk is a key player in Spanish techno, an acclaimed talent with firm emphasis on deep, repetitive loops. He has become synonymous with high-quality, trippy and smart as a tack rhythms. For the last two decades since he started out on Madrid’s clandestine rave beat, he’s developed and advanced a sound to near perfection: raw and technically agile, pelagic echoes from the abyss that have shifted with their changing times. 2011 saw him launch the widely renowned Non Series, a platform releasing the work of similar vein artists like DJ Nobu, Architectural, Neel, Nastia Reigel, Tauceti, Blawan, Luigi Tozzi, Function and Rrose, generating buzz and ardent following. His own releases on labels like Mote Evolver, Semantica and Tresor, intermittent forays on his own label under the alias Maan, as well as his co-project Second Skin (est. 2022) alongside fellow Madrileño Oscar Mulero have been slowly gaining traction in a contemporary music landscape replete with talent. Though the rate of productions is decelerating his touring schedule marches forward at full tilt, adding recent Bassiani dates to those at a list of must-play venues like Fabric, Berghain, Fuse, Tresor and Amsterdam’s shuttered DeSchool. His expert drones and algorithmic beat patterns are in a process of continuing evolution and whatever comes next is sure to be even better than his already outstanding catalogue of work. Bassiani Podcast 258 is an 80-minute expedition into a murky world of Psyk’s design, sweeping and purist techno from this heavyweight selector.

The term "artist to watch" gets thrown around a lot these days, especially with the volume of new artists entering the scene with unprecedented access to tracks, information, and technology. Often, however, it's a certain attitude that elevates the true heads above the groundswell of an ocean of new artists, and Connor Wall is unquestionably of this ilk.

Inspired from past, present and future experiences - Connor's creative constancy has allowed him to shape his sound into the organic, weighty, and effective tracks you can hear on labels like Treatment, Float, Phorum and WSNWG.  There is a potent, heart-palpitating sonic representation that accompanies anything Connor does, and part of the reason why he is such an exciting prospect leading into the future. His devotion to a particular sound and approach has driven his ability to grow rapidly since entering the scene just a few years ago, and it is this obsession that will continue to allow him to blossom. He’s an artist to watch by all accounts, and whether it’s DJing or producing, he is emerging as an essential feature of Australia.
