Bio 

East London born and Essex raised producer & dj Josh Smith has been producing music and djing since 2016.

Early years in discovering electronic music his style and taste was darker and faster paced with Tech-House and Techno being the first real influence and gateway into the underground scene.

Josh would go onto release his first EP ‘Melodic Grooves’ with Antarctic Records the same year of 2016.

In more recent years Josh has gravitated towards more of the Rominimal and Microhouse sound. Definitely favouring the eastern european intimate tones and energies.

Josh has gone onto release records with The Lab Records, Whoystro Ltd, Tanapa Records, Microgarden Lab, and Miaw to name a few.

In 2021 he secured his first residency with the up and coming brand ‘Select Sounds’ this is currently where you can catch him showcasing his sound and mixing abilities.

We have the pleasure to introduce the third artist of the mix series,
the selector  Jay Nortown.

Originally from the north of Spain (Asturias), Jay started playing electronic music at an early age thanks to his parents and their love for it. Years later he started to develop his own style and musical knowledge in his first gigs, starting his professional career.

In 2012, he released his first track as a producer on the label "Suruba X". In 2013, he took the step to  settle on the island of Ibiza where he quickly adapts and manages to share booths with international artists, developing his sessions in the most popular clubs and radios of the white island : Sankeys, Veto Social Club, Ibiza Sonica, Underground Club...

From 2016 to 2019, Jay evolved his career as a DJ at national and international level, getting to play in clubs like Amnesia , Bora Bora, Pacha, The Lion & Lamb (London), City Hall (Barcelona) etc.

From 2019 until today, he continues to grow as a DJ/Producer starting other side projects like JNJS where he produces together with Jacobo Saavedra creating a new vinyl label and event called Velvet with monthly residency at NUI Ibiza. 

Nowadays, they are taking a step forward playing in events like CIRCOLOCO Ibiza in DC-10, ADE Amsterdam, among others, being part of numerous line ups of big promoters.

Primarily rooted in London, UNAI specializes in genres like minimal, rominimal, micro-house, and breakbeats. Early 20s, this artist emerged as a new persona, driven by the desire to explore more sophisticated analog sounds in the studio during the pandemic lockdown. Presently, UNAI exclusively releases music on vinyl and occasionally ventures into the realm of NFTs. From an early age, UNAI’s passion for music blossomed through formal education at a music academy, where they honed their skills as a trumpeter, guitarist, and drummer. An avid collector of electronic music, UNAI draws inspiration from a diverse range of musical styles, including rock and roll.
