London-based DJ/producer Antss arrives on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with the head-turning ‘Rocca EP’ this June. 

Releasing on the likes of What NxT, Sanity, and Dark Side of the Sun, Antss’ music has been championed by some of the scene’s heaviest hitters, picking up support from Rich NxT, Enzo Siragusa, Chris Stussy, Michael Bibi, and of course Jamie Jones. 

Landing on Jones’ label for the first time, Antss delivers some of his most accomplished productions to date on ‘Rocca EP’. Lead track ‘Turn It Down’ brings together wonky basslines with vocal slices, leading into a raucous breakdown. ‘Mashh Up’ sees rave stabs and bubbling low-end merge together before the track leads through a series of unexpected twists and turns. 

‘Rocca’ makes use of heavy-duty, swinging drums alongside a subdued acid line, teasing subtle, creeping pads throughout the club-focused arrangement. ‘Do You Love Me?’ closes out the release, bringing vocal cuts and bass stabs over robust and punchy drum patterns.

Dexter has long been an underground mainstay. He has released on labels like No Art and Gruuv and is never far from the higher end of the digital charts, such is the effectiveness of his music.

Give Me More opens up with a superbly stripped back and slippery minimal house groove that oozes late night charm. The warped synths, trippy fx and the muttered vocals make for pure nocturnal darkness. Heist is a punchy track with a supple house rhythm and more bendy synth lines and smeared pads making it another cosmic gem. The Pressure is another gorgeously deep, feathery light groove that suspends you in mid air as a world of tiny sound designs and distant details occupy your mind.

Remixing this one is Detroit mainstay, Visionquest founder, and always on point studio innovator Shaun Reeves. His version is laced up with slick boom-bap drums and filtered vocals. It's characterful minimal filled with silky rhythms that get deep into your psyche.
This is a typically excellent EP of forward looking sounds from Leftroom.

James Dexter - Heist

LondonGround back on Deeperfect, so many years of hard work we find one of the most representative argentinian talents for the Deep House global scene. Dj, Producer and `Family Partner´ co-owner, in 2019 his track "La Farsa" released on Elrow Limited, was the best seller track on Beatport, giving him an even greater exposure within the scene. 'La Farsa EP' is composed by 4 solid tracks with great sub-basses, stabs, dub-processed vocals & pads. Modern deep house for the dancefloor. ’Neon’ starts off with a clean vocal hook, a warm bass line and enticing break with crunchy claps and teasing chord-stabs.The second superb original is Caja Negra, rhythmic ups the energy and deploys a wide range of drums.
