A fresh mix for our series was recorded by the Siberian producer Arté. This October he released the EP "Modus" on the label Imum Coeli aka Glubina Neba (Глубина Неба).  The artist also announced that he will take part in the ETEREA label compilation by Grievance.

“In this mix I wanted to collect fundamentally different musical styles, forming single story.  There's a lot of DIY internet music, mash-ups of high-pitched trap tracks with ethereal sound and experimental electronics”.

The magical gardens of Beatriz and the misty northern forests are two distant places where sounds and objects merge into a single sound matter. What do we hear in the dark fairy-tale thickets familiar to our culture, what sounds does the forest bring to our minds? Inspired by these sources of magic, Beatriz invited 20 artists to assemble and present a unified sound landscape of the enchanted Beatriz Gardens.

In a world where everyday routine and evanescence often drown out our inner desire for reflection and sublimity, Beatriz decided to go in search of the eternal. «Enchanted» will be the first chapter of the dive into the world of questions that music asks its listener. They invite you to go on a fabulous journey through the world of experimental ambient and ethereal waves.

Last month I was reading "Hypnotised" by Arjan Rietveld about Trance music from 1990-2005 era. Reading it I remembered stories from my brother about his experience raving while being a student in London in the end of 90's. When he came back he made my father a Trance lover. I was too young to understand this music back then but my father been listening to it all day long (Psy and Schranz were his favourite). Anyway, I've listened to hundreds of Trance tracks last month and felt strong connection with my family and childhood in this process. I felt myself good. This mix full of classic bangers for those who need a comforting, love or warm hug.

As a producer Kalione works with new wave club, but you can also hear references to ambient, guitar drone and breaks in her tracks. Artist’s own works bring us though the frozen grounds of Northern forests and leads to the light and angelic motifs, despite on the sounds of minor synthesyzers. As a DJ she  turns to the deep souls stories and listeners have been discovering the amazing world of its multi-genre selection.

The music that Kalione creates as a producer and DJ is always about something emotional, sublime and striving to the Creator. Her mixes and mixing style make you turn inside yourself and involves listeners to the dialogue with yourself.
