Following a series of standout singles, Captain Mustache finally unveils his new album Luz on the legendary mobilee. This genre-defying journey through light, darkness and electro nostalgia arrives on 12th September 2025 as a deeply personal yet collaborative statement from the French producer.

Following acclaimed releases on Kompakt, Permanent Vacation and Bedrock, Luz marks a new chapter for Captain Mustache. Inspired by his love of the album format, he uses this long plane format to break away from the constraints of club functionality and embrace a freer creative spirit. As such, the record embraces retro-future electro, EBM, techno, wave and rap on a hugely textured album that’s just as at home on the dancefloor as it is in headphones.

Luz means ‘light’ in Portuguese which reflects how this album explores both the light of day and the shadows of night. The 10-track record includes standout collaborations with friends and kindred spirits: Play Paul, Daft Punk’s Guy-Manuel’s brother reappears after their hit 'Everything' on Kompakt on opener 'The Pathetic. It's a sleek, futuristic electro-techno sound with sultry indie vocals. Mel. E. Logan of Chicks on Speed returns on the moody 'Pen Weapon' following previous fan-favourites like 'Mentally Naked' and 'Good Weather Girl', and the powerhouse duo of Sian and Sacha Robotti aka Third Culture bring their rhythmic firepower on lead single 'Vertigo' which is an arp-driven electro workout.

Solo cuts come with the chugging astral ascent of 'Dancing Like Muffins,' a real standout at the heart of the album. There is also Detroit electro jam 'Luz' and slinky rhythms and retro-future melodies of 'Black Light'. Alongside these are the starry melodies and sleek late night grooves of 'La Vertu' with Jean Brock and cosmic vibes of 'La Nuit' with techno icon POPOF. Both are tracks that previously lit up global DJ sets from the likes of Claptone, David Guetta and Paul van Dyk. Also featured is CS Rucker, an Albuquerque-based rapper who adds yet another unexpected texture to the backlit trap and broken beat fusion that is 'No Retreat' with its neon synths and smart bars.

Rooted in 80s and 90s synth nostalgia but always pushing forward, Luz redefines electro through a modern, emotional lens.

We are thrilled to present "STOP" remixes, masterful reworks of selected tracks from Squire's debut album. Whilst "STOP" documented a time of inner reflection during lockdown, the new remixes give a different take on these unique sounds - for the now, and for the future.

Berlin based producer Emanuel Satie has left many a dance floor imprint with work on Cocoon and Crosstown amongst others. His rework of "You Make Me Feel Alive" is a stripped-back moody club mover, where his interpretation of original elements are left to breathe whilst still transporting the listener to a smoke filled room.

Kadosh is well versed in delivering an epic on his own imprint Frau Blau Music. He takes Rachel Bachman's vocal story and twists it into a haunting ethereal tale where they join a cacophony of melodic subtlety ready to soundtrack a world of experiences. 

Completing this selection of stalwart remixers come Disco Halal head-honcho Moscoman alongside Tel Aviv's OMRI. take an altogether different spin on "Salvation", where powerful synth and unostentatious percussion delivers a straight-up and unique understanding of Pilar Icazuriaga's lyrics.

'We are happy to share this bootleg remix we did for Nick Mulvey´s „Dancing For The Answers“. It will not be officially released and only shared exclusively with friends and family.

We saw a couple of Nick Mulvey's concerts in Barcelona during 2018. We fell in in love with Nick's music and played around with it in the studio and came up with the idea of this Squire & Karcelen Remix.

Nick Mulvey is a well known singer and songwriter from the UK. He was a founding member of the band Portico Quartet. In 2011 he started his solo career releasing the EPs "The Trellis2 and "Fever to the Form". In 2014 his studio album "First Mind in 2014“ came out and received a Mercury Music Prize nomination. His second album, Wake Up Now, was released on 8 September 2017.
His new album is coming out this year!

We are happy to share this special remix from Squire & Karcelen exclusively with you. We met Nick at one of the concerts where he hand over the stems of "Dancing for the Answers".
This is the outcome of the fun project and we hope you like it as much as we do.

Berlin’s ever-evolving mobilee welcomes Captain Mustache and Third Culture for a bold new collaboration, Vertigo. This second single comes from Captain Mustache's new album Luz, which is a collaborative affair that redefines electro with a fresh retro-future lens.

French producer Captain Mustache bridges electro, techno and wave influences with releases on Kompakt, Permanent Vacation and Bedrock. Coming together out of their own individual musical worlds, Rodriguez Jr. and Liset Alea met 15 years ago creating music for Laurent Garnier’s legendary imprint, F Communications. Since then, each have gone on to have blinding careers of their own, developing individual personas and sounds, becoming leaders in their fields.

A stunning partner, singer-songwriter, Liset Alea has been releasing albums since her teens. Perfectly poised for stardom since, her solo career saw her co-founding drum and bass, trip-hop band, Etro Anime in New York; co-writing and providing vocals on all songs. From here the only way was up for Alea, leaving the band to pursue her own truly solo ventures, her debut LP, No Sleep, released on EMI, was popular across multiple European territories. As an already well-seasoned artist, she later fronted the French new-wave group, Nouvelle Vague for seven years, touring the world, providing exciting and enchanting performances. With such a notable career to date that spans numerous musical styles from Drum and Bass to Downtempo New Wave, it is clear to see how Alea and Rodriguez Jr. are so perfectly matched.  
 
Known to many, as one of the best live electronic music acts the industry has to offer, Rodriguez Jr. is a multi-faceted musician as opposed to a DJ or producer. Well respected for his unique brand of melodic techno, Jr. takes his influences from genre’s far and wide feeding into his eclecticism. From classical artists such as Stockhausen to electronic groups such as Kraftwerk and LFO, his performances offer a new take on how electronic music can function in a club environment. Upon signing with Mobilee Records, Rodriguez has remained one of the imprints most treasured artists, proving time after time that live electronic music and performance, is as spell binding as any digitized track or record being spun. 

No strangers to collaboration, Jr. and Alea recently worked together on Rodriguez’s album ‘Baobab’; it was here that their creative flame was ignited. Inspired by one another’s musical tastes, the synergy between these two talents was clear from the start, making the prospect of future work together a certainty. Now picking back up on unfinished business, Jr. and Alea announce their new project RJLA, kicking things off with summer track ‘Radio’, releasing on Rodriguez’s native home, Mobilee Records.

Drawing on previous collaborations together, new and original single ‘Radio’ is a reflection of both artists musical appetites. Alongside ‘Radio’ Jr. and Alea include ‘Radian’, initially released by Rodriguez on his ‘Baobab’ album, Alea and him re-recorded the track during their cliff-top live performance for Cercle; Alea’s vocals elevating Rodriguez’s highly complex and technical melodies to new places. An extremely exciting and interesting project for Mobilee, the partnership between Rodriguez Jr. and Liset Alea presents electronic music for ears on and off the dancefloor.

Only five releases away from the 100th, Rodriguez Jr. delivers on the 095 with a generous 4-track, digital only edition titled "Muppet Anthem".

The self-titled number makes up the first track on the EP with a pleasant array of upbeat house-party elements and groovy vocals making this piece of work totally dance-floor worthy in the heat of the summer.

Seething down to the second track, "Ocean Drive" takes it down a notch by starting the track with exotic and tropical elements as it progresses into a high peak of faster beats and steady keyboard strikes. Its a number that will leave your feet grounded as your swaying shoulders and bobbing head lead the dance.

"Satellite" comprises the third number an emotional hymn bursting with soulful vocals and periodic tambourine jingles and jangles. Enjoy this eye closer preferably with your head back and arms reaching towards the sky.

Closing out the set is "Palo Alto", a high tempo number with various calculated beats one setting off the next. Crying vocals wrapped in multi-faceted elements will leave even your goosebumps dancing.

The French producer/DJ has a stupendous track record with mobilee and its sister label, Leena. In 2011 he released his very first album titled "Bittersweet" on the mobilee imprint. The summer of 2012 has seen weekly gigs throughout Europes favorite beach bars and waterfront clubs with Rodriguez Jr.

Pan-Pot’s busy touring schedule over the Summer no doubt inspired their upcoming 12” ‘Captain My Captain’. Having performed for countless festivals and main-stage crowds, their new tracks put forth glacial soundscapes so epic they could sink the Titanic.

If it's possible to say this, title track 'Captain My Captain' is actually the more restrained and studied of the three - featuring vocals written and recorded by Los Angeles based studio vocalist and label freund Cari Golden, who also wrote and performed the vocals on Anja Schneider's recent release for the Hi Five! mobilee compilation 'Something Left'.

URSULA RUCKER
Ursula Rucker is a Philadelphia born poet, mother, activist and recording artist. She has been performing, recording and releasing works for over 20 years. Ursula has traveled and toured extensively, throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Africa…sharing her poetry…her heart and soul. She is dedicated to art as/for social change…and committed to freedom fighting, truth-telling and peace-(and a little trouble ;) making through her chosen art form. Ursula believes in taking her art as far as it can go…whether it be through teaching, activism, lecturing, conducting workshops, merging it with music and recording or rocking mics and stages.
To date, Ursula has released five solo albums (Supa Sista, Silver or Lead, ma’at mama, Ruckus Soundsysdom, SHE SAID)…as well as collaborated on over 100 songs, in a wide array of musical genres, with producers/artists from around the world (such as King Britt, Bahamadia, The Roots, 4 Hero, Jazzanova, Louie Vega, Incognito). Currently, Ursula is working on her 6th solo album, and planning her first book project...and always looking forward to making and sharing art with the people in as many ways as possible.

Rey&Kjavik became a mobilee mainstay in the past months with a busy release schedule providing a very own sound signature to the label.
With his interpretation of ´Spaces In Between´ he added another layer of spiritual sound fragments that he probably recorded himself during one of his adventurous trips to the hidden corners of our planet.

The LP sees his creative imagination run free and results in his most inspired work to date. Following on from the release of Santa Cruz, the second single Blisss / What Is Real will be released on the 3rd April. Featuring the vocals of Nouvelle Vague vocalist Liset Alea, the French new wave cover band’s vocals work in harmony alongside warm piano chords. The LP will be available on both vinyl and digital from the 24th of April.

Mòo & Jo return to Mobilee keeping their ethos of traditional African instruments with a deep and melodic house aesthetic close to the forefront.

What strikes you first about “Munuli” are the jazz tinged vocals of Awen, delivering an almost ethereal sound; that brings to mind worship and fervour as the chorus join for a peaking vocal melody which transcends genre with it’s authentic and standout messaging.

The stripped back drums provide a melodic tribal tempo that lends itself to anytime of day or night, for one of those rare and perfect uplifting dance floor moments.

The other elements at play interweave themselves with Awen's vocals, building into a beautiful crescendo that isn’t often found in clubs today; the raw melodic synthesizer meets a classic piano, giving a flashback to a classic sound with heartfelt chords and creating a track that will both stand the test of time, and provide an honest reflection of what people want to dance to in 2020.

The EP then concludes with “Expand”. It delivers an altogether different story, an energetic and suspense filled peak-time melodic journey; whose spoken word story encourages you to “Expand your mind, free yourself”. Needless to say, this energy coupled with the growling sultry bass of “Expand” ensures that it will be finding its way into the bag of the most discerning club selectors this Spring.

Always eagerly awaited, the official remixes to Rodriguez Jr.’s latest album “BLISSS” are finally here. 

Kicking things off in suitable style is long-time friend and respected producer, Timo Mass. Striking a balance between driving dance-floor and a homage to the deep roots of “Blisss”; he carves a suspense laden interpretation, teasing that already iconic bassline into a stomping frenzy of elements in crafted unison; including a resonating vocal mantra - this is a different kind of late-night Blisss...

Whilst the album showcases a blissful soundscape of sounds culminated in his career as Rodriguez Jr., it would be amiss to not pay homage to the raw spirit of the dance. Here, we are pleased to welcome Martinez Sr. to the fore, Rodriguez Jr.'s new techno alter-ego. Applying his ethos to the darker side of electronic music yields unsurprisingly a plethora of beautifully crafted instruments telling a rapturous tale, but this time it’s the strobe light version. We’re excited to see what’s next in store for Martinez Sr., an alias similarly inspired by his family’s Spanish heritage.

Award-winning music producer and live performer Rodriguez Jr. also known as Olivier Mateu returns to his spiritual home here at mobilee, following up from the acclaimed album “Blisss” with a brand new EP that delivers a transcendental state with such an emotion that we can honestly say is unique to this very special artist.

We are proud to present “Hydra EP”. The lead track “Hydra” immediately transports into Rodriguez Jr.’s alternate universe of swelling synths and distinctive melodies that stay in your psyche for a very long time. As with most of Olivier’s tracks, it can be enjoyed as much inside headphones for a needed escape, as in a club, or at sunrise on a Brittany mountain, where he showcased the track for the first time in his recent live stream with BOLDR. The key changes and evolving soundscape delight within any space and at every level, in a sound that is pure Rodriguez Jr., which will delight long-time fans and new alike.

Finishing the EP, “Pegasus” sets its signature with a piano trill, thrilling fans who well know Rodriguez Jr’s relationship with this instrument. Crafted in his Paris studio, rhythmic synthesisers, ethereal pads and a tender bassline join the soundscape to create the setting for a tantalising melody to take the heart strings of the listener on a special journey which is, at 7 minutes, entirely too short.

Following on from his collaboration with Eric Horstmann´s Immersive Lab and Dolby Atmos for “Blisss”, “Hydra EP” has also been re-mastered for a multi-dimensional experience. Dolby Atmos technology expands on existing surround sound sound systems by adding height channels, allowing sounds to be interpreted as three-dimensional objects.
